82 - Robin van Persie now been involved in 82 goals (60 goals, 22 assists) in 81 PL appearances since the start of 2010-11. Stellar.

25 - Man Utd have now let in more Premier League goals than Sunderland this season. Leaky.

Van Persie good. Defence bad.

He has to because Evra fell asleep completely and let the runner in.

Sorry it was the man that laid it off that he just leaves (after pushing him, in an off the ball incident). He just drops in and still doesn't get goal side for the rebound. Watch it again he shouldn't be leaving his man there. No way. Terrible defending from a supposed centre half.

Part of the problem with Valencia is he's at his best when he can run on to the ball, so he picks it up already at full pace, but our midfielders seem incapable of providing that pass. Not to mention, other teams have figured this out and just position themselves so that they're slightly ahead of him and thus he can't do it.

From a standing start he can't do anything.

Carrick good.
Cleverley decent
RVP meh.
Rooney poor.
Young wasteful.
Valencia beyond all normal levels of shiteness, and I'd rather we have a rubber duck on the right wing in his place in the second half, because at least then the opposition might be slightly confused instead of just laughing at his attempts to do the same thing over and over and over again and failing miserably at doing so.

Frankly I'd go as far as to take Jones off and stick Valencia at right back, put Hernandez on and play a 3-man midfield with Rooney at the tip. Allow Young to continue roaming and play two up top with Hernandez and RVP.

For a team without a right side we have played pretty well. Thought Rooney and RvP were decent as were Carrick and Clev. Young was wateful.

Val is not United quality atm

Your agenda against Evans is pathetic. Clearly Evras fault he just sleeps.

Rooney off for Hernandez, drop RVP deeper.. Valencia off for Welbeck push Young to the right. Or just give the hairdryer

Carrick has been ok, in comparison to everyone else though he has been fantastic.

Carrick is our best player at the minute, some of his quick passes into our forwards have been class.

Valencia needs to stop fecking around when he gets the ball and be more decisive. Get at the fullback and attack him at full pace.

Bit harsh................................on Rooney

Carrick has been brilliant, I'm so glad his substitution was precautionary.

I really don't understand what's happening with Valencia, he has lost any semblance of confidence and just doesn't know what to do when he gets the ball, it's fecking weird and really frustrating.

Once they went on to score, our general play went quite shit. No composure at all on the ball. Could do with one more body in the central midfield to counter their pressuring.

And ofcourse this will go tits up if Scholes/Giggs come on.

Valencia seems to slowing the play down and waiting for too long sometimes. Lost count of the number of times I've shouted "make the run" or "cross now" at the TV.

We started really well, last 20 minutes were poor, like second half last week.

It has got to the point now that when a ball is played out to Valencia, I know a feck up is a coming.

Swansea have been lucky in a sense, they're getting lots of random breaks of the ball. We look decent but could do with Rooney kicking on in the second half

Valencia/Jones axis is the most frustrating i have ever seen.....God, Valencia has no football sense. He slows the attack down and he's scared to even make crosses. Jones on the other hand does not overlap to help Valencia and all the attack on that side have been useless.

I miss Rafael......With him on the pitch today, a goal would have come from that area of the pitch. I remember the fantastic pass Carrick made to set Valencia free on the right channel....Valencia did not even look up to find Van Persie - he just made a spastic cross to no one!

Agree but I think Young hasn't been that bad, created some good chances. Not great, but not bad.

Also RVP's hold up play has been awesome, if Valencia wasn't being so shit it would show better.

Why is Young getting so much stick? He's been running and at least trying to create something.

Valencia's confidence is worrying.

Agree 100%, he's the left-sided centre-back so why on Earth is he located to the right of Vidic when Michu gets to the ball ?

Young has been fine IMO.

Carrick's ability to always get a pass away under pressure is so underrated. He's been nothing short of class.

Well the good thing is that we can clearly cut through them at will, the bad thing is they can do the same to us. Think it's been a really odd game, can't put my finger on it, but for a game with so many midfielders on the pitch there's an insane amount of space to just pass through the centre.

Think Cleverley has been poor defensively and really not taking up good positions when we're defending. There's shades of the southampton game for me where he's more concerned about getting in a position to counter than seeing the danger through. He really needs to work harder to get in alongside Carrick, as Carrick is getting way outnumbered. It's particularly important as Swansea are getting players right between the midfield and defence.

Rooney needs to drop in a bit more as well for me, we're trying to play him and RVP too high again and it's putting strain on the middle. Both Young and Valencia need to step it up, getting in good areas but the delivery, or lack of delivery from Valencia is very frustrating.

Valenvia has been one of the worst performers for us this season. So easy to figure out his two attacking moves.

That turned a bit shit.

Young needs to stretch the pitch a bit more, he has had success coming inside but shouldnt be doing it every time we attack.

Carrick has been immense, MOTM by a distance.

He's been good today but he's not a brilliant passer under pressure. It's one of his weaknesses in my opinion and a major reason why we often struggle when we're placed under high pressure.
