Manchester United vs. Newcastle United

He was projected to be back for WBA, so it wouldn't be a shock to see him back 3 days earlier.

I'm just hoping one time this season we get to see a midfield 3 of Kagawa, Cleverley and Anderson, preferably with Rooney, Persie and Welbeck.

It's annoying how much injuries have hampered our chances of seeing that. The problem is, it's too far into the season to tinker too much now.

Give Valencia a rest, Play Rooney in left wing, Young on the right, Hernandez and Van Persie up top. Cleverley and Carrick again in the middle.

That would be just pure attack. No chance of fielding those 6 together even once I'd wager

Anderson surely isn't even close to playing again?!

What channel is this on? Can't find it on Sky's listings anywhere (likely being an idiot).

Yeah, a right bitch that they haven't got any games on at 3, especially when it's boxing day.

Any news on Kagawa yet? Able to at least make the bench for this one?

When streams are almost as good as tv these days, what's the problem?
You can't have 3pm kick offs on Boxing day being televised anymore so than you can on saturdays.

He's close, but I wasn't suggesting that formation for Newcastle.

Here is what physioroom has listed:

Rafael Hamstring Injury 26th Dec 12 Late Fit Test
Anderson Hamstring Injury 29th Dec 12
Nani Hamstring Injury no return date
S Kagawa Knee Injury no return date

And here's nemanja15's injury thread listing:

CURRENT INJURIES:
Rafael - Hamstring - 26th December, vs Newcastle (H)

Anderson - Hamstring - 1st January, vs Wigan (A)

Nani - Hamstring - 1st January, vs Wigan (A)

If we can win the next three games then we can go into the 2nd half of the season feeling very confident. Hopefully City drop a couple of points and we regain our 6 point lead soon.

Expecting heavy rotation for this.

Back to back home games. If Fergie gets it right we'll have a nice lead going into the new year. City will drop points.

You're forgetting the rule of Anderson though

He's never a quick healer, and then takes about a month to get fitness back.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be delighted to get him back asap, but we've been here before.

Can I just say how the whole Nani situation is getting on my nerves.

The club should say something with regards to what is happening with him as if he is fit and we aren't using him as he is leaving, as much as I will be disappointed, tell us. It makes no difference to the situation.

If he is not playing as we are negotiating a contract, then that is bloody stupid and with Valencia playing so poorly he should be a shoe in on the right hand side during the festive season.

Club wouldn't freely admit there's a problem since it'd diminish Nani's transfer value. If you want to sell, don't let on that is the case...

No Tiote, Ben Arfa or Cabaye for this one. Arguably their best three players out. We really should win this.

Indeed. People talk about our midfield ills, but we should be hammering the side they're likely to put out. They shipped chance after chance when City went to SJP recently.

True, but what you're referring to is normally longer term injuries. He should take long to come back following a hamstring strain (?)

I hope we don't see too many changes. Maybe Rio back in for Vidic and Rafael back at full back, keep Carrick and Cleverley in midfield. Could maybe see Welbeck playing and one of RVP or Rooney on the bench.

Argh, I'm missing another match again. Took forever to find a replay of our match vs Swansea and the same is going to happen for this one. Not used to this. I miss the pub a lot now. So convenient.

Scholes and/or Giggs will start.

They could easily got something out the City game though.

How come mate?

In another country. Why I was moaning in the general about spicy foods. Poor form on my part was I initially titled it "foreign foods". Yeah. that's not racist.

The times I am scheduled to go to these villages conflicts with our matches. I miss the craic too.

The Swansea-game was on the internet a hour after the game finished, so have no fears.

Looking forward to this game. Hopefully we can bounce back from the last game and get a good win

How I envy the lack of a Boxing day in Portugal. Glad there's the Premiership, how I love watching football this precise day.

Fancy us to give 'em a bit of a stuffing...

Now is definitely the time to play them, they are missing Tiote, Cabaye & Ben Arfa.
