Ando is playing, not Scholes and Smalling is playing instead of Rio.

I think they know they missed their chance to knock us out, now they are happy to bend over and worry about the league.
True. Big Sam hinted yesterday that he would give the most important players a rest as the QPR game on saturday was more important.

Harsh thing to say - when we drop 10 players to freshen up the team - thats ok. When Hammers do the same - they are not taking it seriously ? They have a lot of players who have played a lot of matches - Collins got injured. Joe Cole has hardly played a match all season. They need to rest players as well

The difference is we bring in quality players, and they bring in some pure mediocrity.

And it's fine for successful teams who play loads of games to rest and rotate, but when sh!Thouse teams like West Ham, who only have mid table obscurity to live up to start pissing about with cup line ups you really have to ask questions.

You put out a team that you think is good enough to win and we have done that. I doubt West Ham do think that when they choose Spence over Demel and playing O'Neil over Noble and Vaz Te over Nolan.

How is it harsh? It's realistic, West Ham don't have the squad to be able to rotate like we can. They know beating us away from home with the injuries you just mentioned is basically mission impossible, nothing wrong with them concentrating on just getting this one over with.

The only players that are inconsistent with people we could normally see starting in the league is Buttner. The rest could/have started in quite a few games. The only thing we likely wouldn't do is pair Giggs with Anderson and Jones and Smalling.

Enough about West Ham though, I rather face that team than their strongest eleven, it's Big Sam's loss.

No build up on ITV?! feck off Coronation Street

Maybe could have put one/2 of the U21's on the bench. But decent team overall.

Worried about Jones in defence and a midfield of Giggs - Ando though.

Would have liked to see Carrick not included at all, with a youth player on the bench. If we need a CM we could have brought Scholes on. Great lineup though, can't wait to see Nani back in action!

Cue moaning about Giggs in a two man midfield...

Well it does not look the most balanced of partnership. I said this when we went with Giggs and Anderson in the one away CL game. Out of all the potential combos it's about one of the least likely on paper. Hopefully home advantage and the onset of attacking talent will be enough. I'd have had Giggs on the wing and someone more defensive other than Carrick with Anderson.

That is a shocking beard Keano
