Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United

Your weather might be mild but you seem to have run out of commas.

Pitch inspection at 2.50pm.

Doesn't look good at the minute:

How about a line-up prediction?

Not sure about defense, but I can see-

Nani - Carrick - Cleverly - Welbeck

----- Roo ------ RVP

so much for all of these "emo" posts :) looks like the game's going to go on just fine....goes to show you how people exagerate everything.

It's not exagerated at all really. It'll be ridiculous if it is called off, but that's England for you. We could have 0.1 of an inch and the country would go into meltdown.

Right now it's apparently pelting it down there and they're in the thick of it. It's not clearing up anytime soon. So if they've even considered calling this game off earlier, then it's at even more risk as time goes on, because the snow is continuing and even getting heavier in places.

Hopefully they have common sense and let it go ahead, but you just never know nowadays.

If we do play today it's important to ice-olate Defoe, keep him quiet and we've done half the job.

If Rafa and Evra do a good job, we can sleigh them on the counter attack, using the pace of our forwards to take the piste out of their aging defense.

Icy what you did there

From Spurs Twatter

"There will be a pitch inspection by the referee at 1450 GMT. We will have a further update for you as soon as possible after that time."

Bit mad, everyone will have travelled by now...:wenger:

I'm drinking in Kings Cross now and the rumours from those drinknig near the ground is that it looks likely to be off.

It's a bit of a joke that the pitch is clearly covered in snow

With undersoil heating and covers for the pitch, that should never be an issue, this game should really be going ahead - especially as it doesn't seem that fan safety or getting to and from the game is the deciding factor

Would be a poor show if the pitch isn't in good enough condition to be played and that was the reason it was called off

Typical bloody England. Get a bit of snow and the whole bleedin' country grinds to a halt...

To be fair, there should be sanctions on Spurs on delaying the decision so late. That's cuntishness of the highest level.

It doesn't look that bad at all.

Play the damn game

Man speaks sense. Pitch with under soil heating shouldn't be a issue at all.

Some snow will clear up once players start playing and the Undersoil heating starts working.

Undersoil heating, tarp covers and a full groundstaff. If its called off because of the pitch then its nothing short of disgraceful.

to all these people asking about under soil heating, yes they have it, but obviously if snow is falling you'll still have a layer of snow on the pitch!

That won't cause it to be called off though.

Let's hope it goes ahead, unless it really is dodgy. You don't want to be playing a tough away game if the pitch makes it a lottery!
