Wenger must get more than £2,150,000 a year? Hughes is on way more than double that.
Easily...Wenger probably makes more in a week than his most expensive player. Maybe it's aimed at Ivan Gazidis or whatever his name is.

I've made money on that every year since 2006 (pays for the bet on winning the league if it doesn't get laid off first).I made a bit of money by backing the Gooners to finish top 4 when they were struggling last year (in fact I needed them to come 3rd) - at the moment they are still odds on for a top4 finish but will monitor the odds to see if a similar slide occurs

Yep, that's the reason I come onto this board.
Apparently we were going to bottle it in 2010 when we had Arsenal, Chelsea, Man utd and Man City to qualify for 4th. Apparently we were going to bottle it when we got into the CL. Its such a stupid term and means almost nothing. We apparently bottled it last season. We barely even spent that long in the top 4 places and spent most of the season competing with a club that had spent more on a leftback (now reserve) than we have ever spent on a player.
I'm not celebrating anything. In the 5-1 game against Arsenal, I nearly had a heart attack when they scored their goal because even at 4-1, I thought here we go again.
But for most of the past few decades, we haven't 'bottled it'. We've just been shit. One of the most overused and meaningless phrases on this board.
The state of Spurs' bad habit of conceding late goals is summed up in a table from our friends at Infostrada Sports which shows what the table would look like if games ended on 80 minutes.
Andre Villas-Boas's side would be top on 34 points, ahead of Manchester United and Manchester City.
We need Spurs just to draw once and then it's in our hands. They've still got Man City at home, Chelsea away, Stoke away, all of this. I think they've still got to go to Wigan at the peak point of their revival.
Everton won't stay the pace, but it's not just between Spurs and Arsenal.
A top 4 finish for Chelsea is far from secure. And City must be very demoralised right now, so if they were to have another couple of blips then they too could easily be drawn into the dogfight.
I don't see Arsenal finishing in Top 4 this season. Last season they had van Persie. This year, they seem to be struggling for goals.
