QPR vs. Manchester United

Tough one, and Rooney out. Bad feeling about it.
If we somehow scrape a win I'll be happy. Can then watch El Cashico peacefully.

People, STOP having "bad feelings". If we lose, it will be a surprise but these things happen. On the other hand, there is no logical reason why we shouldn't win readily.

The manager expects the team to perform, and if it does we will win. If we play below par, we can still win.

QPR are bottom of the table for a reason.

SAF clearly wants this season end before May. No mercy for City.

We're going with everything we got, plus Nani coming back in quality form.

We have had trouble over the years against teams in 20th position. Wolves in 2004, Norwich in 2005, Sunderland 2006, Derby 2008.

Who cares how many bottom of the league teams we've struggled against, we have different players to 2006, 2008 ect. stats like that are ridiculous.

Going by SAF's comments, we're well up for this and we should be winning it. Keep up the momentum!

Weren't Wolves bottom some years back as well when they ended our unbeaten run? That game we lost 2-1 after Nani had scored?

True, forgot about that. And we beat Sunderland in 2003 who were rock bottom after two late goals to win 2-1.

Remember back in 99 when we thumped Nottingham Forest 8-1 away from home when they were 20th? Good times.

Remember the Derby game. We were atrocious against the worst premier league team ever seen. Think it was Foster's debut as well

Can't see any result other than a win for us though. QPR are shite, no distractions for us, defense looking better and players coming into form. We'll batter them

With Rooney out, I want to see this team:

----------- DDG -----------
Rafael - Vidic - Evans - Evra
---- Carrick - Cleverley ----
- Nani - Kagawa- Welbeck -
----------- RVP -----------

Just because we're 12 points clear, I don't think this is the time to "slow" down. It's usually around this time of the season we start dropping points against shitty teams, and they don't get much shittier than QPR(sorry Park and Fabio:().

This is in my opinion our strongest XI(if we switch Welbeck for Rooney). It should do the job alright.

We can say what we want about tough game and all that - but there is a reason why they have roughly 0.5 points a game

They suck

If 6-7 of our players perform well - we win!

They do OK in the big games, expect a tough match. They drew with City and Tottenham recently while beating Chelsea away, this wont be a walk over.

Team spirit is high and the physio room isn't that busy right now. Putting whatever happened 5-10 seasons ago aside, there's every reason to believe we'll crush QPR this weekend.

That's also what I would like to see, but Welbeck looks like could need some rest, so Giggsy left for me.

Contrary to reports, Rooney has indeed travelled with the squad. Good news

Strangely I have a good feeling. The players should be fired up and eager to prove themselves. They're all desperate to play and they know only good performances will get them in the team to face Real Madrid.

league comes first, no dropping silly points. Tough games to come, take advantage of these ones. Relentless.

That'd be my line up with Rooney out but apparently he's traveled with the team so he might be on the bench. I was impressed with Nani against Reading and think he deserves a start. Hopefully this can be the start of a good run of form for him. We could really do with a winger in some form. Personally I think Nani brings more to the table than Valencia on the right and its Nani's best position. Plus I can see him linking up nicely with Kagawa and RVP.

Been too long since Premier League action. I hope we batter them after last season.

he has had 4 nice days of rest. plus, he should be a nailed on started against madrid, so he can take a breather against Norwich.
i would like to see rio and vida in the match against madrid.
welbeck, rvp, vida, carrick, evra should be rested against norwich next weekend. let's play all of them today.

DDG
raf---rio---vida---evra
---carrick---clev------
-nani---kagawa---welbeck
-------rvp----------------

i will be very disappointed if we don't see this line up today
would like the following against norwich:
ddg
raf--evans--smalling----buttner
----ando-----cleverly----------
--nani----rooney------kagawa/young
--------chicha

i know for sure that i dont want valencia playing against madrid.
if nani does decently well in these two games, he can start against madrid. else it will have to be kagawa/young.

this would be the line up for madrid:
ddg
raf--rio--vida---evra
--carrick---clev-----
-nani-rooney---welbeck
----rvp--------------

This should be a tough match. Redknapp has to use it to galvanise his players. It's more or less QPR's last chance saloon.

It's definitely not the day for SAF to be giving the opposition the boost of seeing a weakened team sheet. That's how we often drop points before this kind of game has even begun. Let them see RVP's name, let them know he is coming for them.

Carrick, Rooney, Robin, Rafael, Evra, Rio, Evans were all rested against Reading so I can't see any reason why SAF wouldn't name a strong line-up today. Added to the fact that our next game is 7 days away so there is plenty of rest time in between. Norwich is the one where we might rest a few with one eye on Madrid (but allowing them to take points off us in both fixtures this season would be a bit embarrassing!)

I can see QPR being well organised and hard to break down, but as long as we don't start slowly I can't see it being a problem. At the game at OT SAF said we only played for ten minutes! We have a bad habit of making these kind of teams look fantastic before we casually decide to turn up, though we haven't really done that in a while.

I'd like to see Carrick and Cleverley in midfield with Nani, Rooney, Young and RvP in front please.

I actually think this should be pretty much a banker. We rested key players on Monday, the next game is a week away, we have no injury worries, the lads can go 15 (!) points clear of City, while QPR are bottom for a reason (they've been utter crap so far this season), despite getting points off Chelsea, Spurs & City. I'll be severly disappointed if we don't beat them, as arrogant as it may sound.
