Sir Ryan Giggs

I hate this hashtag nonsense.

It's ridiculous, especially this "respect" craps. I am waiting for someone to make one:
"fecks his brother's wife- respect".

Yeah!

"You were the bee's knees on the pitch, Diego, but the coke and the rest of the noise that came with you just means I won't be saying that nobody can not respect you in terms of a football discussion"

If he's not the left-sided winger in your all time United 11 you're doing it wrong.

When the fook did this happen!?

Time to get rid..

Good team. I'm minded to go Best left, Ronaldo right, Cantona and Rooney up front. But to be honest I'd probably come up with something different if I did it again in a couple of hours. There's so many great options.

Mine first X1 would be: Schmeichel, Neville, Byrne, Ferdinand, Stam; Best, Edwards, Robson, Giggs; Ronaldo, Law. 442

My second X1 would be: Van der Sar, Dunne, Vidic, McGrath, Irwin; Scholes, Keane, Charlton; Cantona, Rowley, van Nistelrooy. 433

You can pick subs from a dozen others...

I'm assuming Wikipedia is wrong on his appearances then? They list 931 for Untied and 64 for Wales (995). But everyone seems to be saying his next game (Norwich or Real Madrid) will be his 1000th in his career.

Team GB!

I like the fact they compared him to the king of Biscuits.

They quoted Sun twice, make the article a lot less impressive.

EXCLUSIVE: I delivered young Giggs to City, only for United to snatch him, says the milkman who spotted a star of the future

Lol City.

Via Blackburn Rovers, with Brian Kidd, and a season at United, Schofield is back at City. He is a City man, understands the pull of club ties in Manchester and there was some weariness when he said: 'Ferguson's pinched another one, a boy of 12, 13 who's a really nice player.

'I recommended him to City but United got there first - you have to get there first, though the lad's from a United family.'

Sir Alex still beating City to the next Giggs.

Contract too short. Should have just offered him a 5 year one, we all know he will still be here.

Can't wait to see him tearing it up at 40 next november  There will never be another like him again.

Will be good to have him around the club for another year. Though he better score next season to keep his record.

No need. Giggs will just keep renewing for the next 5 years anyway

He clearly died at some point and we brought him back as a cyborg.

He is going to stay here forever. If Fergie stays another 2-3 years, Giggs might get in contention to be our next manager.

Love him!

The stud fees he'll bring in will earn the club many millions after his retirement.

As good he's been lately, he was poor in the autumn and I would have liked it more if he had stopped while ahead. He is risking have a nightmare season and people will say he should have stopped this summer. Like Gaz should have stopped a season before he did - perhabs Giggs should do the same...

Absolute legend, would just dread if the last memories of him were a poor season!

Sorry, but that's nonsense. He's proved in the last few weeks that he's got it, he went through a lean patch at the start of the season & that's not the first time that's happens tbf. How long ago was that that he was playing poorly for half a season & was getting pelters, when he was in his early 30's was it?

Was that where the sack Fergie, sell Giggs thing started?

Unreal.... the thing is - we all know that players slow down in their early to mid 30's but once thats out of the way whose to say what happens in your 40's?

Pure legend....

Amazing, brilliant!

It's a never ending, glorious cycle. Giggsy signs a contract, someone says he should quit while ahead... the following season he hits a bad run of form (like the majority of footballers do), people claim he's lost it and should have retired, then by the end of the season, Giggs has proved them wrong, shows he can still contribute and signs a new deal...

Only for someone to comment that he should quit whilst he's ahead.

If George Best had had Giggs's staying power, he would have played in the 1985 FA Cup Final and been there when Fergie joined...
