Might even start with the same team like we did at Madrid.

Some nice words from Kaka:

"Every player wants to play a match like this," he told Real Madrid's official website. "We came off the first leg in the Bernabeu with the feeling that we could have won the game and that we can equalise the draw in England and win.

"Manchester is really strong but we're going to Old Trafford with confidence. It's a traditionally European squad that always goes far in the competitions

they play in. They also have really sold individual players like (Wayne) Rooney and (Robin) can Persie.

"The stadium is fantastic, just like the ambience and the fans."

You just know the ref is going to give dodgy decisions in their favour

I'd go with this line up if Jones is fit and if not then Cleverley in the place of Jones

De Gea

Rafael Rio Vidic Evra

Jones Carrick Kagawa

Welbeck RVP Rooney

Oh bloody hell, this again. Too nerve wracking.

I also have an interview before, anyone know a good place to watch it somewhere in central London?

Who's this can Persie geezer then?

Red Lion should be showing it.

Where's that mate? Fair few Red Lions around.

I am frustrated that this game is in 2 days time.

Even though we've already faced them at their place, I still have no idea what to expect from this game. It's like football Christmas, the games you watch this sport for.

I shouldn't have read this thread.

I am now pumped more than ever and I still have lots of school work to do. FML I'm stressing hard over this game.

I'm hoping for......

Rafael
Evans
Rio
Evra

Carrick
Cleverley
Rooney

Kagawa
RVP
Nani

18000 plastic flags in the north stand, can't wait to see that...

They're being used to create a mosaic. Instead of using the sheets, they're using flags so that when the flags are waved, it creates a moving effect of a scarf.

It's not like Chelsea or Arsenal who put flags out on every single seat.

Scary as it would be, I'd like to see this. Completely different approach from the first leg, admittedly, and some would say that playing attacking possession football suits Madrid's counter-attacking style. But I think this would also suit us. We're in very good form, and we should be confident enough to try and show it.

I also like it because Kagawa is more where he belongs. Lots of people have him at CM in their line-ups, as in the first leg. But I think one of the reasons he's had a quiet season until recently has been that he's had to play far too deep. He showed against Norwich that he's at his most dangerous staying very deep in the opposition's half, waiting to run onto a lay-off or provide a through-ball.

Danny needs to play because he's very good at putting pressure on the opponents defense. That'll be crucial imo, i'd be tempted to play Danny on the left wing with Rooney on the right, with a brief of putting pressure on Madrids fullbacks while RVP sits in the middle. Give Danny/Rooney the freedom to roam a bit allowing them to come inside.

Then have a solid base in the middle of the park. Clev, Carrick and either Kagawa or Anderson. I'd probably side with Anderson, although if Jones is fit, i'd give him the nod over the pair. Get Clev on the left of the midfield so he can link up with Danny, while Jones on the right and Carrick in the middle. That'd be my lineup, then have Hernandez, Nani and Kagawa to come on if we're chasing the game. Otherwise, we can use Giggs, Valencia and Anderson.

We need to ensure that Carrick sees a lot of the ball and has more chances to get involved, unlike the first leg. And also restrict Alonso from doing the same.

------------DeGea--------------
Rafael-----Rio-------Evans---Evra
---Cleverley---Carrick-Giggs-------
-----Rooney-------RVP----Welbeck-

I would go with the above line-up.

Cleverley to play more towards the right and provide help to Rafael deal with Ronaldo. Carrick and Giggs close to each other in the center of park against the threat from Ozil and when Ronaldo moves more central. Both of have the ability to hit good long balls and find RVP, who would be isolated most of the game. Welbeck on the left as he can drop back and help Evra.

A nervy 2-1 win for us. Rooney and RVP to score.

What about Smalling in the 'Jones' role picking up Ronaldo?

Giggls & Welbeck to be involved in the 2nd half no doubt.

Edit: Forgot to include supersub Chico to win it in the 87th minute.

tbf, my unfortunate prediction is 2-2, which would put us out on away goals, but I live in hope. If we can play Rio & Vidic together, you never know.

I had a dream we beat Madrid 1-0 last night, a Welbeck handball. Though for some reason that guy out of brassed off was Madrid's manager.

Vidic will start again proving he is back to fitness. Kagawa for Welbeck at some point and Hernandez for Nani too. Jones to be on Ronaldos back all night, Rooney will have to drop quite deep to stop Carrick being played out of the game if Jones is looking after Ronaldo. Expect Rafael to be creating chances on the wing if Jones is looking after Ronaldo on that side of the pitch.

This Turkish referee has been good, though I would have preferred Viktor Kassai. Proenca is the best at the moment but I am glad that he is not in this tie because of the obvious reasons.

Jones wasn't training this morning. But that was the session where the media are allowed to watch so Fergie could be playing games with them.

Yeah, he loves to keep people guessing. I'm guessing he'll be asked in the presser and I'm guessing he'll just say he didn't train today and give politicians answer.

Do you think Nani will start? Weird he didn't play on saturday, that would say he will start tomorrow but I can't see it. Think Fergie will play Welbeck and Kagawa.

To qualify for next round.

Man Utd 11/10 Real Madrid 4/6

Bookies are making Madrid favs to go through.

Fergie and player presser is apparently live at 2pm. Which is free on MUTV to Sky customers. Buzzing.

With Jones missing training and Fergie bringing Giggs to the presser, I think we're going to line up something like this with Rooney and Welbeck working hard deep and tentatively breaking for counter attacks:

DDG

Rafael - Ferdiand - Evans - Evra

Carrick - Cleverley
Welbeck ----- Giggs ---------
---------------- Rooney
van Persie
