Sunday 10th March 2013
FA Cup 6th Round
Old Trafford, Manchester
KO: 1630 GMT

I think the team is going to be really up for this now. I think we're going to thrash them.

Van Persie
Kagawa Rooney Nani
Cleverley Carrick
Evra Vidic Evans Rafael
DDG

Mash the cnuts. I want us to do the double this year.

I fear the worst. One of those weeks where it all seems to be on, but then to be shattered in two matches.

A few of those were absolutely knackered tonight.I'm not sure RVP will be ready.I'd start with Chicharito and Rooney personally

We'll be hurting, and some players will be knackered after chasing shadows for the last 35mins.
A good deal of rotation should sort that out, and smashing our way to a double would ease the euro pain.

Mark my fecking words on it, we'll bounce back here. To be perfectly honest, it's good to have a massive game right after this has happened. Performance wise we were fantastic against Madrid. Replicate that type of performance here and while Chelsea are a bloody good side, we can brush them aside here.

Can see us firing a few past them now actually. Hernandez surely has to be in the running to get some game time here, surely. I'd also keep Vidic if he's capable of it, might be a tough ask really though, but he was fantastic tonight.

No excuses for not winning this, Chavs will be playing 2moro in Romania and we are at home again. Need to put aside that travesty and concentrate on the remaining games.

It's Tuesday ffs. The match is on Sunday! A whole 4 days rest.

Oh No. Not the dreaded ' I've a bad feeling about this game' this early in the thread

It's the emotional/psychological impact that the worst. The team needs a bit of freshining up. New faces with somethig to prove will do it.

Chelsea will be sensing a chance to take advantage now

Fair enough, but I was responding to your quote that they were knackered.

We'll smash them. It actually feels kind of refreshing that this thread is now up. I want to just forget about tonight now, but the lads did me proud and I backed them to the end.

3-1 United.

----Kagawa--Rooney---Young-
--------------Hernandez--------

We've been screwed out the CL, FA cup will have to do and everyone should be damn hungry for it.

This match just got fecking real after tonight.

I now want the FA Cup more than I have ever wanted it before. Let's bring some legitimacy back to it.

Think van Persie will be rested, possibly Vidic too. Other than that, pretty much full strength I'd say, with two or three new faces to keep it fresh.

4-0 , Rooney to grab 2, nani to grab 1 and Hernandez to grab one. Hope we batter them, nothing to do with them obviously, more with today.

Benitez will probably come out before the game and say that United always get all the decisions.

Its probably the best time ( if that is possible) to be playing you guys, but I don't hold out much hope with Rafa at the helm.

My hope would be that we could somehow manage a draw and then take it back to the bridge.

A lot depends on what team Rafa puts out in the Europa league, because if its anything like what happened with Sparta Prague and City we will get massacred.

We are away at Steau 3 days before.

.

It's the worst time.

This isn't sadness at losing. They are not gutted. They are furious. It's pure anger. And that anger will be released on Chelsea.

Oh you have it all wrong. Normally when we lose I would be the first to admit playing against a big team is the worst thing to do next but this is different. The thing we all feel in our gut is different. Who ever we play next against, we will want to take it out on them. And its at home. The fans are going to be up for it again.

I really think we'll smash them.

The world against us culture is something can really manipulate to our advantage.

What?

It's most definitely the worst time. The crowd will be well up for it and how often do you see us lose twice in a row at Old Trafford?

van Persie should be dropped. He's been very ordinary recently.

surely Welbeck has to play!

Hernandez, Kagawa and Rooney will be fresh and will start. Welbeck did well. Nani will be keen to prove everyone wrong and will want to make up for what happened. He will be the most motivated out of all them to do everything to win.

Hopefully a burning desire to put a slight positive on what will go down as one of the sickest weeks in recent times.

I really hope the likes of Hernandez, Nani, Rooney and Kagawa play, all 4 with very different motivations to prove a point and help the team progress. RVP's scoring form is below par at present so I don't mind him being completely uninvolved for the odd game..but the frame of mind of players like him, Rafael, Carrick and Evra is a worry for the rest of the campaign, they are professionals but as a select few nailed on starters I really hope we get a positive result so they kick on in the PL and the FA Cup despite tonight's blow.

Chelsea are playing us at our lowest...a freak 2-1 loss, the first low point in a long long time but even still we should have enough in the tank to turn the week around and get things won domestically.

Ideal team for me:

DDG, Rafael, Smalling, Evans, Evra, Carrick, Anderson, Nani, Rooney, Kagawa, Hernandez

Subs: Lindegaard, Jones (if fit), Buttner, Valencia, Young, Cleverley, Welbeck

QUADRANT FOR ME, WONDERFUL.
