Manchester United vs. Chelsea

I think it'll be the same team except Hernandez for Welbeck. Hernandez always does well against Chelsea and Welbeck played midweek.

Everyone thinks "easy" games are tough and now against Chelsea.. it will be a walkover??

No matter what kind of form they are in, it will be tough no doubt.

People always love to go against the grain it always happens.

A game at home to Norwich is tough, but home to Chelsea is going to be a certain win!

I think you will win, as we were in eastern Europe 2 days ago, but I hope we give you a good game and slot a few more past your defence.

I think the City match has give people more confidence in us beating Chelsea, because they were unbelievably bad in that match, combined with the fact we were quite good against Madrid.

To be fair, that isn't a good reason to drop him. Plenty others played midweek.
:D
Kagawa, Valencia, Hernandez and Evans will come in.

True, just that he always runs himself into the ground.

I can't wait for this to start now. We need to get our season back on track.

Kagawa has to start surely? Rooney too I think. Can't see both Rio and Vidic starting either. Also Fergie has already said that Giggs won't play.

So no, I expect a fairly different team from midweek :)

Different day, different game. Don't think we should rely on past games. Chelsea have enough quality to beat anyone-they are so Jekyll and Hyde.

However we're at home and we don't need to fear anyone,it's a great opportunity to get to the semi. I believe we are better than Chelsea and we'll win

I want to f.a.p to victory today. Make it so Fergie!

Sorry, I meant the same team as the one posted above my post except for Welbeck. :)

Kagawa and Rooney will start surely? Can't see both of Rio and Vidic starting together either. Giggs won't play according to Fergie.

All in all, I'm expecting a fairly different starting 11 than the one in midweek :)

Silently confident right now. It will be interesting to see how our boys bounce back from the Madrid game. Could see them coming out firing and dominate the game, or be still distracted and play some utter rubbish.

Either way I can't see it being an easy game for us

De Gea

Rafael
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Carrick
Cleverley
Kagawa

Nani
Welbeck
Rooney

Can see rvp rested today. nani should start after what happened midweek, hed be well up for it,as should rooney. i go 3-1 united, rooney score first.

My only tweak would be Hernandez over Welbeck. Otherwise, this is it for me even though RvP doesn't make it here. He has shown he can come off the bench and make things happen. But this is a good opponent for Javier for start against.

Makes a nice change from the ' I've a bad feeling about this', reaction from some fans

I think people are just generally more tense/nervous about PL games. Atleast that's true for me. I'll be far more nervy about Reading next week and then Sunderland away than Chelsea today. I know that's ridiculous but that's how it is for me.

I've never been so confident about a Chelsea game before. The gulf in quality between the two teams and vengefulness after Tuesday night will see us win this very comfortably.

I don't think there is a gulf in class - I think when we went toe to toe earlier this season it was a pretty even game, we had you on the back foot for long periods. A lot has changed since then (managerial upheaval, divisions through the club) and as a result the team isn't playing well.

United's team are greater than the sum of their parts, our team is worse than the sum of its parts. The actual difference in class is marginal for me.

He's not demanding anything from anyone. I doubt he cares much about what United fans think of him anyways. He's been a cnut because of his relationship with SAF but calling him Mr bitter etc is small time.

feck him then, the bitter twat!

That's pretty rich coming from someone whose teams strikers are shit, central defense is mediocre and the midfield is worse than ours.

I don't think it will be an easy game, but we are in good form and have enough quality to see off Chelsea.

We have performed well in the big games this year and I expect the same from today's game.

Just hope we can keep the good form going for another few weeks to wrap things up in the league and maybe do a nice double this year.

Are you a Chelsea fan?

And I didn't say our players are better than Chelsea's individually (though they are), but that there's a gulf in quality between the teams, the sum of parts, greatness of the managers, etc all come into that, no reason to discount it.

If the winner of this game is drawn against City in the semi then only 5th place in the league would get Europa League, effectively knocking Liverpool out.

Ramires is not better than our central midfielders. Would only take Mata and Hazard right now. We already have Kagawa and Rooney for Oscar's position.
