Sunderland vs. Manchester United

Thinking about it..newcastle might even snag a draw today to! They need the points....

I noticed Mancini was quoted as saying "it is over" the other day. Had a familiar ring to it! Mind games...or a genuine comment he sincerely believes this time?

He was saying that alot towards the end of last season,I wouldn't trust Him tbh.

Difficult to guess the team today. I'm sure Rooney and RvP will start though, Rooney's had a lot of rest/injuries here and there and needs games, RvP has not rested any games apart from FA Cup and he won't rest today either after scoring for Holland in the week and getting back to form.

Carrick is too important to leave out so him and Anderson in the middle with Giggs on the left, right side is though, could be anyone from Young, Valencia or even Nani if he's fully fit.

Rafael will play as he's not had any games for 20 days, do Fergie trust Buttner? Not sure, might see Evra there.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Vidic and Smalling today and Rio-Evans on monday. De Gea in goal.

It feels like the start of a new season...That international break felt like a year!

Anyways

De Gea
Smalling
Evans
Rio
Buttner
Valencia
Carrick
Anderson
Giggs
Rooney
Welbeck

The reason I say this is because Sunderland are hoof merchants when it comes to attacking and Smalling's height would be of benefit. Also, Welbeck's pace and ability to stretch defences with his movement will be another key factor against a pretty slow and sluggish defence

He might have believed it last time. We threw that title away when we really shouldn't have. It would take even more effort to lose it this time that it really is pretty much over. We can lose 4 games out of nine and still win the title as long as we win 4 and draw the other one.

Really does feel like months since I last watched United.

Going to be an interesting team selection today with no Wazza, Chicharito, Rio, Giggs, Scholes or Jones in the squad.

From someone who was at the team hotel yesterday. Also says Vermijl and Powell are amongst the travelling squad.

Hernandez has just posted stuff on Twitter (not related to the game), I doubt he would do this 75 minutes before the game starts if he was in the matchday squad.

DDG

Smalling--Evans--Vidic--Buttner

Nani--Ando--Cleverley--Young

Kagawa

v.Persie

Giggs always plays well against Chelsea, he was majesty down there in the Carling Cup earlier on in the season. Glad he is saved for Monday if it's true

No Scholes or Jones isn't surprising considering both have just returned from injuries. Chicha had a long flight so understandable to rest plus he always does well against Chelsea. Rio and Giggs saved for the Chelsea match.

No Rooney is a surprise though, if he isn't even in the squad.

If that tweet is true then

DDG
Rafael-Evans-Vida-Evra
Carrick-Ando
Tony-Kagawa-Welbeck
RVP

Chicha and Rooney upfront vs. Chelsea, makes sense. Expect Carrick to be involved in both games, De Gea too.

Today we will probably have a front six of Nani, Carrick/Cleverley, Anderson, Young/Welbeck, Kagawa and RVP. To be honest that's easily good enough to dismantle Sunderland.

Our squad

If we turn it around - how many would even have a glimmer of hope if we were 15 points behind City with 9 matches to go ?

He believes it over - he knows with 99,9% certainty it's over...

If he seriously believe they have a chance - he is mad. He can HOPE - but of course he doesn't believe it for one second

I can see Smalling and Evans being the CB todays. We need Vidic/Rio on monday.

When does the game start? all this time saving 1 hour forward whatever whenever clock bullshit and GMT / UK / whatever just fecks my brains out.

How much LONGER do I have to wait now?

Doubt it is - when the official is out - usually 3 people post the exact same lineup with just seconds inbetween :)

That's an excellent and strong line-up, but I can't get my head around why Valencia starts ahead of Nani. He just travelled halfway across the world... well... nevermind. COME ON UNITED!
