Manchester United vs. Manchester City

Would feel more confident if Jones started in midfield, i'm surprised with the lack of Jones in many people lineup's.

Every time we say "X player will score tonight" they never do so I'm turning it on its head.

Van Persie won't score.

that's not true :)
I actualy got quite a lot of'em right.
Rooney & Kagawa to score.

I'm convinced he'll start. He's Fergie new Fletcher/Park. i.e. his go-to man in the big games.

We were pissing all over them until they scored.

It's easy to forget because of what else happened that day though.

Really??

I definitely can't remember us pissing all over them. Second half we were truly awful, that I do remember.

Yeh. We battered em for the first 15-20mins but couldn't score. Then City scored, Evans was sent off and the rest is history.

We were pissing all over them at OT, not at the Etihad. I assume Carl means the former.

We were awful all game, had like one chance at the start of the game but that was it. To say we were pissing on them by any means is ridiculous. We deserved to lose it really the way we set up.

Edit: He's talking about the first game, which in that case, yeah we were but I don't remember Park playing in that one.

 What?

Oh okay, the Old Trafford game.

With Park I was referring to the Eastlands game. The one he spent the entire match bouncing off Yaya Toure.

Oh right, I thought the poster you responded to was talking about the second game, when Park started for the first time in months!

I think he was, and they're both taking about different things in the correct manner :)

We didn't batter them, I'm sorry to say. They looked more comfortable and once they scored it looked like only one winner.....we have to be honest about the events that day

I see.

Still, I think 'pissing on them' is hyperbole regarding the game at OT too but we were the better side for 20 minutes or so at the start, true.

Are we gonna see a mad starting 11? No Rooney or a Park (I know he's at QPR...) type of inclusion.

Bizarre, Aguero doesn't start, Nasri does.

Giving the lil man a chance to prove himself I guess.

Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy, Barry, Y Toure, Milner, Silva, Nasri, Tevez

That's a strong City midfield with Tevez helping out.

Fearful of Barry/Milner/Youre utterly overrunning us in midfield.

Happy to see Aguero on the bench while Nasri, Barry and Milner really doesn't bother me.

Conceded three in the last eleven games. fecking incredible defensive form.

Jones will start today, should do anyway. Rooney will have a sensational game, mark my words on it.

Manchester United XI v Manchester City: De Gea, Rafael, Vidic, Smalling, Evra, Welbeck, Carrick, Jones, Giggs, Rooney & Van Persie. #MUFC

Rooney, Vidic, Rafael starting is great news. Slightly worried about lack of Rio/Evans though. Good team. Should be enough to avoid defeat!

Normally we have team news by now?

Knew Giggs would start. Now the benching of him against Chelsea, despite resting totally against Sunderland, make sense.

Im going to f.a.p to that line up. Very nice.

Big lack of width in that team. Huge onus on Carrick and Giggs to make things happen. I'm confident though.
