Premier League Week 34

What's with all these shithouse lumbering forwards in the prem these days? Carroll, Anichebe, Adebayor, any Stoke forward. They're all fecking shocking.

Walker is woeful, what a shithead of a proper. He just runs with pace but other than that I struggle to find anything decent about him. Can't cross, can't pass, can't defend ...
But he's better than Rafael...

Tevez is just destroying them finding pockets of space behind Dzeko. Really dissappointing a player like Parker isnt taking responsibility to do something about it. I'm sure Tevez wouldnt have had half as much room if Sandro was playing instead of him (Parker)

The more I see the Nasri challenge the worse it gets, easily a straight red.

Parker spends too much time in advanced positions as if he thinks he's some sort of playmaker.

Bale should be on the left in the 2nd half.

Agreed. No width.

Bale's good drifting central but I don't think starting in AM suits him. I'm not convinced it should be his position.

Mason has had a shocker so far. He's giving every 50/50 decision so far to City and Nasri should've been off within 10 minutes. Spurs are trying, but Dembele needs to do everything on his own. I still can't believe Scott Parker plays for a top team, what an utterly abysmal footballer

Mason is a big time bottler. You'll probably never see him give out a red card in the first 45 minutes like we saw against Arsenal last night.

I'd take Bale off at this stage. It's all unbalanced with him roaming.

Or tell him to get on a wing. They are trying to play through the middle with their attacking players and it's so congested. Not to mention that neither full back seems capable of putting in a remotely dangerous cross.

Bale just needs one clean run through and he can do something...I don't see where a goal comes from without his pace on the pitch especially with Sigurdsson Dempsey and Adebayor looking useless beyond belief.

:lol::lol::lol:

From the BBC sport website:-

Emmanuel Adebayor is coming in for plenty of grief from you guys out there. I would offer some sort of defence to the Togo striker, but he has scored the same amount of league goals this season as Arsenal centre-half Per Mertesacker...

We are used to see city getting all the 50/50 decisions in most games so no surprise.

They could maybe get away with it if they had Lennon giving them some width but with the awful Dempsey and Sigurdsson coming inside constantly they're making it really easy for City to defend.

And you sir wouldn't last too long as a premier league manager.

:lol::lol: feck off you clown.

He looks off the pace as well. Maybe just get some width becuase whenever they've had width and looked to overlap they've cut City apart.

Get Welbeck on...

Spurs are really clueless. I'm a bit embarssed for Glaston. Can't wait for him to tell us how good their players are. They just recycle shite players with "potential" every few years. No real quality except for Lloris and Bale.

we play Spurs with Bale in top form. City play them when they're on a slide and Bale's just about back after injury.

We might bloody need that lead we have!

City will win all their remaining games.

The last games have become like cup games and Fergie usually does something crazy with team selection or tactics.

Spurs has no energy left after all the thursday Europa League matches this season, burned out players.

AVB should do the best thing and throw EL away as soon as possible next year.

Aye. Says something that Kyle Walker has been their best player going forwards. Their left side hasn't threatened at all.

Away from home at a big club like spurs though?? Surely the ref should be a bit more even handed. I only caught the last 15 mins and there was a few that should have gone to Spurs and then the Nasri tackle was a stonewall red.

Or just invest in a better squad.

Their lack of variety upfront will always cost them. Even if they did make the CL, that would burn out the medicore players.

Adebayor ... Why didn't Tottenham try to get Remy in the winter break ? They badly needed a striker then never mind now

I thought they tried to get him. Don't know if they actually made a bid but there were tons of rumours that they were interested.

They'd certainly do well to pick him up in the summer though.

Meanwhile, Rafa Benitez has arrived at Anfield and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has hailed the globetrotting Spaniard:

"Rafael Benitez was very successful during his time here, and I'm sure our ostentatiously supreme fans will applaud him into the club restaurant. People ask if I'll be perturbed by the reception Rafa will receive; I say "No" - it takes more than a beard and a clipboard to derail the Brendan Rodgers Process and Associated Mindset (now available on cassette). Besides, he left me with feck-all money and a team full of twats, so any success we might enjoy is down to me, Brendan Rodgers. I'm not bothered. Honest."

Composure seems to have deserted Tottenham today.

Bottled it.

Maybe swap Dempsey for Bale, feck me Dempsey's first touch can be awful.

Regarding Europa League, no wonder teams don't care as they can't get much money from it and they have to play on a thursday meaning league games always 3 days after.

Why not move EL to a week when there's no CL and have them play tuesday/wednesday and maybe have the 2nd round played in late nov/early dec instead of fecking teams up who wanna go for it?

Lucky Zabaleta didn't make more of that.

They've spent the last two summers trying to sign Remy and Damiao, it baffles me that they couldn't find another striker.
