Premier League Week 34

Watching Bayern, Dortmund, Real or Barca and then watching this games really makes you want to vomit. Such a poor game

Adebayor really is shite. He's had that one decent season for arsenal but he's always been crap apart from that.

With and without Kompany in the league this season:

With: Win percentage of 64%. Loss percentage of 9%.
Without: Win percentage of 60%. Loss percentage of 20%.

It's not the only reason for their limp defence of the league but has clearly had an impact.

David Platt: Failure to 'win ugly' has cost Manchester City in title race.

The most true words to leave the mouth of anyone associated with Man City.

Silva, Aguero and Tevez in particular have lacked the balls to take the game to anyone when they've really needed it this season.

Of course Kompany's absence in February had some effect, but being out for a month is not an excuse for 12 points imo. Had they been 3-6 points behind and it was relatively close, I'd agree he was worth that much...but I'd say their forwards (inc Mario) have been bollockless and badly out of form when they needed to step up, Toure has been a shadow of his game-winning self last season, Silva and Nasri have been incredibly poor and their signings arguably lessened the overall quality.

Personally I don't feel Kompany's injuries apply as a valid excuse for their shortcomings this season, especially with none of their players close to 20 goals each which shows how little they are contributing individually for the collective cause.

AVBs substitutions always seem to be like for like. He never makes a substitution that will significantly change the way Tottenham are playing - Defoe will probably go on and score now but I still believe he never makes brave substitutions.
