looking forward to this now.

In an hour i'll be setting off up the motorway.

Was there for the celebrations at the Blackpool game 2 years back, but have never been in the ground when a title has been confirmed. Really hope that happens tonight, will be amazing.

Slight shame there wouldn't be any after game presentation, but in fairness, at 10pm after a long day I can probably deal with that!!
 
Think we'll get the win tonight, but not expecting it to be easy. 2-0
 
I expect a win. They are so poor defensively, but they do have the ability to score, so we shouldn't look to cruise. Benteke, Weimann and even Agbonhlahor can be real a handful. N'Zogbia can cause problems if he decides he's going to turn up and not sulk. They look terrible at defending set pieces though, and that's where we have made huge improvements this season. Win corners and pile into the box!

Would be very interesting to see how that would work out to be honest. Would all depend on how well Hernandez/Kagawa finds runs behind the defense, certainly would be strong possession wise though with that middle 4.
 
I think it's gonna be a comfortable win, but nothing too emphatic. 2:0.

I think that would be interesting. Cleverley would need to be back in high-energy mode as he was at the Olympics and in the first two thirds of the season, without the complacency we've seen a bit too much from him recently. He'd need to be dropping deep to pick the ball up from the CBs before following it through the midfield towards the forwards. Otherwise Rooney gets tempted to drop too deep too often in search of it, and that leaves Kagawa far too much to do creatively.

I certainly like the idea of packing the forwards in. Villa's back line is shaky and so many potential points and modes of attack is liable to cause confusion. You have to stop RVP bringing down long balls, stop Hernandez from running in behind you and stop Kagawa finding time and space all at the same time. Very difficult indeed.
 
Sorry if its common knowledge, but any idea on what channel this is on lads?

I would like to see Chicarito get more time and Nani to be included but I think the former is slightly more likely :wenger:

Remember Dong was involved in the guard of honour at Chelsea before? We should do something like that for the Emirates, recall Bebe and give him captaincy.

If we win today then Rio and Vidic won't play more this season I think because of their fitness and with Fergie being careful to play them often.

De Gea in midfield. It's actually something I've always wanted to see, out of curiosity: is he just good with the ball by keeper standards, or could he actually have had a decent career as an outfield player?

I remember back in 2001 when the title was won that I hoped Barthez would play left back or left winger, he was great.

Well yeah of course, his build is completely wrong. Too lanky. But I'd be interested to see him try it one day. It's strange to think how little you get to see of the basic footballing skills of a goalie. I've never seen him run with the ball, for example. Even the idea of him running is odd.

Would love to see a midfield and attack of carrick, clev, nani, kagawa, Rooney and rvp but welbeck will most likely play and Valencia as well.
