Arsenal vs. Manchester United

I reckon Arsenal will be up for this one more than us. It's expected - we've won the title, we might take it easy, Arsenal are chasing CL football and it's at the Emirates.

Draw.

its money. they don't have enough to compete with the big 3.

simple fact. ;)

None of that changes the fact that it's not a fact that they won't be amongst the title challengers next season mate :p

Hopefully a cracker today. Reckon Kagawa will have a stormer against them if he starts.

No Vidic
No surprise

According to Dan Taylor

I hope that having no pressure on us means we'll play some expansive, attacking football.

SAF mentioned he wants to give the young/fringe players a game:

Hernandez
Welbeck - Kagawa - Nani
Cleverley - Carrick

Would be awesome to see! Maybe even throw in Anderson for Carrick.

ohhh...they'll be thereabouts.

Their best player would not have left if he thought he had a chance to win the title with them. He loves and respects Arsenal. But you could tell what winning the title meant for RVP.

I'm not deriding Arsenal. Their business model is right. But the fact is the game has changed...It is all about money. We borrow it. The other two have owners with bottomless pockets.

Van Persie will surely start. Why wouldn't he??

Where's the best source for early lineups? This thread doesn't cut it.

Because I dropped him from my fantasy team, of course!

In all honesty I don't see the point of playing Rooney, RvP, Valencia or Carrick. I suppose RvP could play instead of Kagawa, but I'd like to see Hernandez start the game for sure.

Just for the record, I'm not saying they'll be title challengers, just that this is football and you just never know. We'll see what they do in the summer.

Surely Cleverley starts today.

You'd think it'd be sensible to play Valencia today. Last game was such a remarkable improvement for him that we should be playing him just to help him close off the season well.

  1. The points record is still in our reach.
  2. Arsenal and Chelsea are still "massive" rivals of United.
  3. Four games is a long stretch to play your fringe players.
  4. The guard of honor.

With that, it's a pretty good bet we'll see earlier substitutions that would otherwise have been the case. Hernandez on for RvP, maybe even Ando for Carrick. And so on.

Does he? I've never once seen a direct quote by him about the record being a genuine priority

He isn't going to come out and say his life or our season depends on it, but he's openly mentioned how he would like to see the team take Chelsea's record and how it's not beyond his team. For him to acknowledge the possibility suggests it's in his mind somewhat?

RvP just did a Lewis Hamilton. He headed to the Arsenal dressing room before realising his mistake and going to the away one

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Rosicky, Cazorla, Walcott, Podolski

Rooney and RvP start for us.

RVP won't start, he won't get the GOH.

Told you he will start.

No we don't, the Glazers do. There are few clubs out there with as sustainable a financial muscle as ours, the debt is only there as part of the swings and roundabouts of Malcolm buying us on a freebie.
