Manchester United vs. Chelsea

Rubbish line-up. I would have liked to see Carrick and Cleverley in the midfield with Nani and Valencia on the wings. Kagawa in the hole with Hernandez up front.

TBH, I wouldn't blame Hernandez if he's getting fed up, which I'm sure he will be. His record against Chelsea is fantastic, and he's hardly played recently.

No complaints from me. Line up is well balanced for this particular opponent. Cleverley and Anderson haven't played recently so you'd think they'd be fired up with something to prove. Do think Hernandez should have started though and DeGea because my back up goalie doesn't start in fantasy so Sir Alex has cost me points, I hope he's proud of himself.

Would have liked to have seen Kagawa play, not going to lose sleep about it though.

Sure we can experiment if we want. We have solidified our position. They should have won more of their games then.

I wouldn't care but he hates FSW, why try to help him. I suppose if we lose they didn't beat out best side. Just hope they have Europa League final on their minds.

it's going to be an absolute shitfest of a 90 minutes.

good bench, mind. hoping to see hernandez get a decent 45 minutes. in reality he'll get 90 seconds and one touch.

Anderson and Cleverley have played in a midfield two together so I don't see why Jones couldn't have been left out then seeing as RvP is undroppable play him in behind Chicharito.

Hernandez will survive. I for one am happy that for once we're not going with 4-4-2 and he was never going to be selected as the lone striker.

He can come on later if we need goals.

We did it a while ago. It's not something I want either but it's still possible.

I weren't arguing with you mate I know Fergie has done this before I was just saying if he does it again today my head is going hang heavier than an anchor.

I don't understand why he puts up with it. He is better than warming the bench for 90 minutes. I don't like him starting always, but he doesn't get brought on until around the 80 minute mark.

Like others have said, slightly disappointed. Giggs etc didn't need games and there are players we would rather see but I suppose that isn't SAF's agenda when selecting, he feels they can do a job...

Would still have been nice to see a young un on the bench just in case....

No, its not. We've won the league. We're trying something new. Its not like De Gea is starting as striker.

So what's "new"? Is there something in that formation that you look forward to seeing because you haven't seen it before? The answer is "No".

It'd be ok if Fergie hadn't suggested a strong team was expected.

I would think he would leave the youngsters until the last two games, was expecting a much stronger side today. Clev doesn't play for ages, but he thinks he's good enough to play Chelsea. Him and Ando will need to prove their worth today. Maybe that is what the boss is doing.

Joe Hart said:
"Even if there is one game to go and we are 12 points behind, we'll still believe," Hart said. "We've got to. We've got to keep fighting, you never know."

Today's line-up will give Joe hope that City can still catch us.

err, we do have a strong team. apart from keeper thats been our back 5 most of the season, up front rvp is playing and cleverley, jones, valencia have featured alot. giggs and anderson only regular non starters

Got a bad feeling about this, like arse they will want it more, hope i'm wrong.

Cleverley will probably play on the left, which is shame.

Because Jones will be in to do a job on Mata I'd expect, sitting just in behind Cleverley and Anderson. He played a key role in stopping Chelsea from creating hardly anything in their 1-0 win against us in the Cup and has mostly done a fantastic job when put in to do a job on somebody (See Bale, Ronaldo).

Would have preferred Carrick with Clev. Poor Carrick is probably knackered. That is why I would love to see us sign someone to bring in when Carrick rested.

It's all a bit doom and gloom in here. Unless I missed the post where it was confirmed we've been given an 80 point deduction and now we're relegated, then fair play.

Personally, I'm glad to be seeing Anderson and Cleverley as part of a 3 man midfield. I think we should be able to carry the ball forwards quite well with those 2. Valencia has had some good games against Ashley Cole. Hope it's a good game.

Sky line up Valencia as a right attacker  I will never understand how weird line ups sky got.

Well if Anderson is his usual self, he will only last to half time.

Rafa gives us cred "deserve to win the title". The most beautiful thing he has said.

I don't think it's so much about the strength of the team just that for the likes of Hernandez it seems harsh that he doesn't get a start despite us mixing it up a bit, especially when you have some like jones, Valencia and giggs whi have playe a lot recently or over the season. Rvp is understandable as our best player and chasing the golden boot.

I think people are just a bit disappointed that we're not seeing some different faces in the starting XI is all, given what Fergie himself said recently. I'm sure that team out that is capable of playing well, it justs seems a bit unnecessary to be putting the likes of Giggs, Valencia and RvP out there today.
