Considering the managerial ability of both men and the resources that will be available to them, if they make the expected moves this summer, who would your money be on?

Please don't use the phrase "David Moyes' United" until we absolutely have to...

Thank you.

Mourinho's Chelsea. I reckon he's a much better manager who has already won titles in England so he could get results instantly. Long term Moyes could become a good manager at a big club but if we went for him I'd fully expect the first couple of seasons to be very tough while he's trying to adapt to a new, completely different job.

What's next Lada vs Ferrari?
Wright brothers glider vs F16?

Imposible to say until the season starts, Chelsea have a big transfer pot I don't think they will go on spending spree. Their current 11 is pretty strong, just need some quality back up players.

It has to be Mourinho. He's been a complete success no matter where he's been, in several countries.

He's the only one with the personality and ability to take on a job of this magnitude. He will relish taking this responsiblity on. He will continue to make us successful, and yes I believe he will win us the Champions League if he comes here.

It has to be Mourinho.

Mourinho, only those with their head stuck in the sand would say otherwise.

Bloody hell, why do people need to be so negative about everything? Whoever the new manager is deserves the full backing of the fans as without the fans things can crumble very quickly. Get behind the team, get behind the manager, lets have class unlike a club like chelsea.

You're boring me now.

I do show my club support...every week. Every day FFS

It doesn't mean I don't have an opinion.

Getting lectured by some joker on the internet about suppport? Do feck off.

The 'oohhh look how red I am I can never say anything bad' are starting to get on my tits.

Yup. We will show our class at Old Trafford by backing him there.

On an internet forum, there is nothing wrong in saying your piece. Definitely nothing wrong in saying Mourinho will make Chelsea a better side than Moyes will make United for now anyway.

If we don't win back to back trebles by September I think we should boot Moyes out

Didn't Moyes' Everton regularly own Maureen's Chelsea?

Didn't beat them even once. Chelsea won 4 out of 6 games and drew the other 2, one of them in a dead rubber game with season already over.

In terms of manager's its not even close.

Anyways, its not like chelski haven't battered us a few times this season even without mourinho at the helm.

Interestingly, I browsed through Gill's comments on BBC. He again, emphasises the required manager would need the relevant domestic AND European experience.

We shouldn't read too much into those comments, but Moyes is seriously lacking in one of those requirements.

Its been said more than once. Might have even been said by Bobby Charlton and Fergie himself.

How ironic would it be if Moyes is really the man to replace Fergie. What European experience does he have other than 2 legs of qualifying CL football.

Nobody regularly owned the Chelsea of that era.

We were lucky they were stupid enough to sack him, or our recent history could have been quite different. 2008 in particular springs to mind.

But times change, and whoever the new boss is deserves a chance to be judged on results.

No brainer, the best manager in the world (in 2 weeks when the current best manager retires) with near unlimited funds, against err... someone who does quite well with limited funds and no CL experience and never won anything... :(

A little hard to get away from this TBH - Sir Alex retires whilst Jose is on the move, but the club looks elsewhere in the direction of Moyes. Moyes has plenty of good points, but still... just wow.
