Specialist In Failure
For feck's sake you could make a video of me and I'd look like Messi mk II. If you watch Fellaini over 90 mins through the season you'll see he's not a top 4 CM (or AM or that matter).
Watching that video it's even more confusing the way people bang on about his limitations. His long passing isn't amazing but that's pretty much it.
It's a career highlights video. You could make one for Tiote that would have the same effect.
When did this become a valid argument for buying someone? Nigel de Jong would bring us something we don't have. Lukaku would bring Barcelona something they don't have. Larnell Cole would bring Stoke something they don't have. Doesn't mean any of these would be a remotely good idea.
It's only this season isn't it?
We need at least two midfielders anyway, if he was one of them I wouldn't be disappointed at all - my only worry would be if we played him at CF.

Christ, there is no need to be so pedantic. Especially with the tripe you've come out with in this thread.
He clearly meant "He'd bring us something we don't have and currently need"
But I doubt either of you have watched him for more than 90 minutes. That 90 minutes being against Us and Arsenal.

Oo-er.
In which case it's a nothing statement, since the pages and pages of debate before his comment have all been about whether 'it' is something we need or not. I was just pointing out that what he actually wrote isn't an argument for buying someone.
Try not to take it all so personally.
Not sure if you're referring to me here, but if you are I'm afraid you're wrong. I'm an arts student - all I do is watch football.
Also, do you really have to go there? Pulling out the 'you've probably barely watched him anyway' card works better when you haven't just made a judgement on a player based solely on a YouTube highlight reel.

You want to pay top whack for an oaf so that you can battle Stoke a bit better?
like many have said, id have him here so long as he isnt the main midfield signing. with scholes, fletcher? and possible anderson our central midfield needs some bolstering. having him for some league games could be useful, but certainly in terms if european challenge and the title, we need somebody better.
At least you have reasonable reasons as to why he isn't good enough, as opposed to the usual tripe about battering ram, pointy elbows and dirty git.
Why would I take it personally when it wasn't even aimed at me?
I just think it was a shit way to respond to his post, which was completely balanced and probably the best in the last few pages. Certainly better than your Madrid or Dortmund nonsense.
I don't know, but you do seem to be. You apparently really, really didn't like my Madrid-Dortmund post for some reason, since you've called it nonsense four or five times now. A number of good posters agreed with me, so it can't have been all that bad.
They're the reasons he is good for a midtable team. Lack of intelligence, technique, pace, passing and discipline are why he isn't good for a top4 outfit. At least you have reasonable reasons as to why he isn't good enough, as opposed to the usual tripe about battering ram, pointy elbows and dirty git.
CONFIRMED
Fellaini has dyed his hair grey for charity.
Why are you laughing at your own post Boothy?
He's an average midfielder who's just really tall.

Cunto I think you lost all credibility in this thread when you said United have to scout him and then give a report of that to David Moyes.
I know.
I had meant to say that by coming to United that Moyes can see our staff's evaluation of Fellaini, which will be a hell of a lot different to Everton's, I'd imagine.
As in Moyes comes in and reckons Fellaini would be a quality signing here, sees that our staff reckon he'd only be fourth or fifth choice and decides against it.
As in to see what the general opinion of him is by the scouts of a top team?
I suppose the use in that depends on how strong you believe our scouting network is.
As I said at the time you clearly don't want Fellaini and are just creating arguments from nothing to try and back that up, even when they have no real basis.
