Well sorry, no manager lasts at your club. It's a circus, not a football club. Mourinho is a fantastic manager and he's proven this in Portugal, in England and in Italy. Your players are primadonnas and your presidents more interested in buying shiny new toys than building solid teams. How is any of this Mou's fault? He just refused to become a doormat for the likes of Casillas and Ramos.
I do believe that Danny. This has put a stain on Mourinho's career and man management skills for me. It didn't make us look particularly good either, but I'm kind of being used to that by seeing Del Bosque sacked after his successful period. For me, he should have been our 'Fergie', that was probably the biggest mistake Real Madrid made in recent history.

Why was he sacked anyway? He seemed to be doing a very good job and just won the league in 2003 before you got rid, as well as two Champions League titles in 4 seasons. I thought it was because you failed to win CL in 2003 but it's still pointless as you weren't that far off, lost 4-3 to a brilliant Juventus side with Nedved on agg in semis after knocking United out - it was a decent campaign.
Because our club is runned by morons, basically.
With all the talk of Mourinho going to Chelsea, I wonder if he might instead want to go to a sugar-daddy less profilic club like Monaco/Anzhi or even PSG instead. He could win them the champions league and flame his ego even more, rather than going to Chelsea and having less gloss over any achievement.
He wants to go where he is 'loved' is what he said. I doubt he wants to prove himself more by going to France. There is no way in hell he is going to Russia. Plus he always says he loves England and wants to win a Champions League with an English team. Chelsea is his chance.

Wonder if he'll keep Lukaku? Can't understand the logic in sending him back out on loan when:

Even if they brought in Falcao or any other prolific striker he'd be a better second option than any of Torres/Ba. Personally, whilst Ba is a good striker I don't think he suits Chelsea's playing style.

I think, and its only a hunch, that Mourinho probably thinks that short term-ism harmed his changes of landing the United job - nobody can convince me he didn't want it. I reckon he'll try to lay down roots at Chelsea in an attempt to show (not necessarily us but himself) that he can build teams over and over whilst staying competitive, that he can use the academy and that he can stay somewhere longer than three years. Whether or not he achieves it is another issue entirely, not just because of Jose's own inevitable controversies but also Roman's unrealistic expectations as an owner and his short sightedness. I think Mou will try to approach this one differently though.

I would tend to agree with the idea that the United job is a very attractive one for any top coach but I just honestly don't get how you can be so sure he was interested in the first place (unless I missed some secret info).I'm amused by your 100% certainty
You can never be 100% certain, it's basically my opinion and hardly an outlandish one.

He's also coming back at a spot on time - when this young'ish Chelsea side has had a year to gel & bed in.
If we strenghten in midfield and struggle to win the league he will be criticized.
Of course they will. It's not even a question. Even if we win the league people will probably call for Moyes head. The sensible few will give him enough time to accurately assess whether it was right choice or not but if Moyes loses his first match there will be a group who want him out.
Mou has always been my favourite manager to follow Fergie and I've maintained that position for more than five or six years. He's proven himself at the highest level and would have been a safer choice than Moyes, who is kind of a risk.
That said, I despise clubs that change their managers like normal people change their panties. I've always respected clubs like us, Arsenal or Werder with long manager spells. Moyes deserves a fair chance (which doesn't mean he can't be criticized) and I hope he will be a success at Old Trafford despite not being my favourite to follow Fergie.
I never really wanted him to come in if i'm being honest and I preferred Moyes to him in terms of keeping up with the club stood for. Mourinho loves a media circus and alienating other managers wherever he goes he does too much talking when he is not winning. Truth is nobody gets to spend as much as him so he should be expected to win titles. He is a winner if you want to win immediately at any cost bring him in but if you have a project and tradition he is not the man for me.

Signing a "xx-year contract", article dated Monday 3 June. I guess they've had this template sitting waiting for submittal for a while.
I'll back David Moyes all the way without question, but we should have got him. His personality is exactly what's needed at the club. For the first couple of years at least.

It's one of the many challenges Moyes will have to contend with at United. Deal with it.
Chelsea could win a few PLs in a row now. Their whole squad will be lifted by his return, and it's an absolute dream for the media. Everyone will be hyping up "Mourinho Vs Moyes" with the expectation that Moyes can't hack it. This will be very difficult for our new manager, and you just know that a lot of United fans won't give him the time.

Teams have always been challenging United for major honours. Always will do. Weather it be Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool whoever, there's always been sides up there and that's the same every year. Chelsea will be there or there about's because they've got a good side and a good manager, but I'm still confident going into next season. The club have never avoided challenges and although Mourinho's a great manager, it's nothing knew.
