My only concern with Bale is that he's a very pace-reliant player and on occasion that can be quite a precarious thing.
If Levy wouldn't sell to Real, who they did a deal with especially because of Gareth Bale, then he certainly isn't going to sell to us. Plus Real would outbid us without a seconds though. Not going to happen...
Seems like we're pissing in the wind with our targets. Not getting Bale or Fabregas.
We'd be criticised if we weren't in for top class players who are available but neither club wants to sell Bale / Fabregas and sounds like neither player wants to move either. We've probably more chance of signing Ronaldo than these two.Based on?

A lot depends on the player though. He could force a move.If Levy wouldn't sell to Real, who they did a deal with especially because of Gareth Bale, then he certainly isn't going to sell to us. Plus Real would outbid us without a seconds though. Not going to happen...
If this Bale deal shall happen, it will probably cure my mental illness.
The dream is to replace 5 players from our title winning squad last season?DDGRafael Vidic Garay BainesCarrick FabregasMata Kagawa Bale RVPThat's the dream...DDGRafael Evans Vidic FabioCarrick CleverleyValencia Kagawa NaniRVPThats what we'll end up with... a side which will not be able to compete with a rejuvenated Chelsea/Citeh. We really do need to make some important signings this summer and make sure this is not just hot air. The dream lineup would involve unreal expenses, sums which United have never spent... but its interesting to see which deals are seen as priorities and which'll be left on the backburner.
Why has the Levy is the "best chairman in the world" talk be become such common currency these days? He's nothing of the sort. Just because he comes out with these strong soundbites doesn't make him the best in the world at his job. Nonsense.
Get madrid to outbid us for bale, then they sell us ronaldo to pay for it. I like the tactics on this one.
Daniel Levy is many things but willing to sell Bale to an English club for £60m is not among them.

I just tweeted Oliver Holt to say that I didn't expect articles like that from him, regardless of the fact that it's in the Mirror. He's not one for bullshit (it's obvious we'd WANT Bale but not obvious what we have planned), that's usually the jurisdiction of the likes of Martin Lipton and Alan Nixon.
Alright cool, we'll get this sorted now so, thanks man.
£60M is a shit load of money!. How much do you expect him to sell for?.
Spurs are hardly cash rich, they need money to keep refinancing and pay for their new stadium.
He's right though about Levy. He wont let Bale go without a rediculous fee close to what Ronnie went for. Has he not already said, that even £100m wont get Bale this summer?
Bale is a one-off for Spuds, so they'll rip the complete arse out of demandin an out of this world fee. They wont want to sell this season anyway, as he's vital for them to get into the Champions League next season. Its between them & Arsenal for 4th.
You never know - money talks & £65/70m might get him. Ideally, Levy will want a bidding war & thats where United, PSG, Real, City, Monaco(maybe) will all enter the race.. the bids could get upto £100m or more, if those sugar-daddies are involved & that would be the same shit with Ronnie if he were to be on the market too!

He would have to come out and say he wants to leave and is only interested in us.There is a chance but Bale has to come out and say he wants to leave.
Slight difference though, when Ronaldo left for £80M he was the best player in the world, at 1 of the biggest clubs in the world - Spurs are nowhere near.
Whos to say in 2 more years time that any of the clubs will be spending money like this? PSG will tail off, City have already stopped going quite so mental, Monaco I cannot see it continuing.
That just leaves us, Bayern, and the spanish clubs. I personally cannot see Bale wanting to go to spain, he will want to remain a star in his homelands.
