Same pitch as the City-Sunderland game? It looks like a pitch my Sunday league team play on in the middle of the winter. I've honestly never seen a professional match played on such a shitty pitch.
Once again, I'm looking forward to the brief respite this game will offer us from the transfer forum hysterics. Not so much the five achilles and three cruciates which we're going to 'do' on that shitty pitch.

I can't really see them cancelling the game due to publicity sadly. Hopefully none of the players are injured as a result.
The weather forecast is good for the day. Sun is out and there is very little chance of rain.
Hopefully, this will dry out the pitch and it wouldn't be as dangerous as it was in some of the previous games on the ground. I would fecking hate it if any of our players get injured to fulfill some sponsorship commitments.

I wouldn't start Carrick, Giggs, Young, Smalling, or van Persie on that pitch, probably Ferdinand as well!

I'm sort of hoping key players are rested for this game, when I saw the pitch for the spurs game I thought they were taking a risk playing on there, didn't realise we were going to as well until the other day. Could easily see something happening on it.
Would like to see Clev and Ando have a good game together, even against lesser opposition, just to boost our morale for midfield traumas

That'd probably be more cruel in many ways since we know Ando will likely not stay fit enough to recreate it over most the season anyway!

Does anyone know why De Gea hasn't made an appearance yet in pre season? Find it strange that our main keeper has been on the bench for all of them but hasn't come on yet. (Pretty sure he hasn't yet, might have just missed him)

He started one of the games in Japan, the 2-3 defeat i think. I would imagine he will play most parts of all the friendlies in Europe and back home

Strange indeed. Same about Rafael, he started only one match I think. Probably Moyes is testing the less important players.

Maybe they just want to give Lindegaard and Amos more playing time, because they want to loan one of them.
Yeah, he played against Yokohoma like someone else said. In my defence, it was at 6 in the morning for me so I wasn't really awake during the match...
That's probably what it is, that or he's giving Lindegaard time because he won't have much during the actual season.
