That "great block" prior to Smalling's goal would've been borderline red anywhere else on the pitch. Studs up in knee height, but when blocking a shot everything is allowed.

Been impressed with Zaha this tour, lashing at a few shots to be expected really. But his composure and eye for a pass is something I think far surpasses Nani's at the same age - we might have some player on our hands here!
Great ake from Welbeck for the first goal, while the second was a cracking header from Smalling from a great Cleverley cross. Crossing is a part of his game he often lacks quality in, but every now and again he pulls out something like that. Hopefully he can do it more consistently ala Fletcher when he got in those positions.

What's refreshing is the quickness of the passing. He isn't dicking about and wasting time, he's knocking it through the little gaps as soon as they emerge. I do think it was a blip from Valencia last season, but he was guilty of wasting time on the ball and slowing down our play.
What the feck is up with Ando and his overhit passes? Every game we get to see it.
