In fairness, the pitch is no worse than OT was in 89'

yeesh, careful.

This team, and all teams we have met this pre season are no way near the standard of PL. I agree no point sending him out on loan but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Of course they're not. Most of what we've played has been below average, some would argue the opposition has been absolute shit actually. That doesn't mean you just ignore every performance from a player. I'm not saying "OMG ZAHA WORLD CLASS BETTER THAN MESSI!", but I'm saying he's shown great signs and the idea of loaning him out was always a terrible idea.

The PL will be a much tougher test, anybody who debated otherwise would have to be mental. But Zaha's showing he's got the tools to likely succeed under us and I'm feeling he'll have a fantastic season for us. We'll see.

What's refreshing is the quickness of the passing. He isn't dicking about and wasting time, he's knocking it through the little gaps as soon as they emerge. I do think it was a blip from Valencia last season, but he was guilty of wasting time on the ball and slowing down our play.

Yeah, definitely. I got so frustrated last season when we got into positions on the wing, towards the corner flag, and the play just came to a halt and we gave the ball away. I do think Valencia still has a lot to offer, but he's going to have quite a bit of competition from Zaha now (unless he can play on the left more often).

Am I right in saying Fabio and Zaha have connected very well in the matches they've played?
Could we play Zaha on the left with Fabio this season at all?

Fabio may play the role of O'Shea. He's quite good on both sides while Zaha looks like our main winger, now.

SO GOOD to see Fabio back in a red United shirt and looks like he's playing well. Big season for him. Dont see why we need Baines if we have Evra, Fabio and Buttner.

Could not agree more!

I don't think he has played on the left besides once at the very beginning of the tour. I wonder if he would be used as back up to the right back spot.

I'm not one for being overly critical, and I really want our players to be winners on the pitch, but Ashley Young is just being a twat, its little more than an exhibition game we are 3-0 up in, and hes been moaning at the ref and pissing around for the last 10 minutes.

I don't like to see that in this sort of game.

not saying this season, but not long from now Zaha will be tearing the Premier League up...he needs experience etc, and I'm not comparing him to Ronaldo, but he is special and I think it's already a good bet to say he's going to be one of the first names on the team sheet in a couple of years, and he's still got his whole carreer infront of him, training with the likes of Giggs can only help to add to that
