Manchester United v Sevilla FC - Rio's Testimonial

Not usually one for the meltdown bandwagon, but you have to admit we haven't looked great.

We're not winning anything this season without some serious investment in midfield.

Has anyone mentioned we should buy someone yet? No? Well we should.

I'm still expecting us to roll out Ronaldo for the second half though, and announce his signing.

That's it. It's all over. We might as well get a basketball franchise like Barca have.

i dont care about the result or if we lose. But we are in the stage of preseason that goes beyond games being a run around for physical fitness. By now, the passing and link up play should be getting in tune. But on the evidence of that first half, we are no way close.

having cunningly left him off the team sheet.
Having cunningly and secretly got him out of the USA tour Madrid are on, and into Manchester.

If we had Ronaldo on the bench, I expect Rio would have looked slightly less pissed as he came off...his face said it all, "we are sh!t"

Man alive, some of the comments here over a friendly.
The players and Moyes seem to be taking it very seriously. I think that's why we're more worried than we would be over most friendly matches.

I just look at it as pure entertainment, knees jerking in here all over the place. Apart from Hargreaves who has no knees.

It's entertainment but it would be good to actually win some matches.

Tbh the season is starting very very soon and although there are many players out there that might not be part of our first XI the way we are playing is a bit worrying. Beeing a friendly didnt stop Chelsea or Bayern to look brilliant at times so far.

I'm not really bothered.. Our preseasons are often dodgy.
It'll be fine.

I'm watching a Spanish stream. Everything is "ultra fantastico, magnifico, splendidio!" And it was only an advert for barbecue sauce.

Didn't I read somewhere Tinchy Stryder is going to play? How can that make it serious at all?

I meant the comments in here, that is pure entertainment...would ye look at that feck stick up in the commentary box...

You're guaranteed at least 4 goals conceded when Buttner plays, take away Carrick and that's potentially 8, add Fabio and you have 9 or so goals.

Really? The players are taking it seriously?
I'm basing this more on their facial expressions after cocking up than their performance.

People on here can come up with tons of midfielder that could do a job for us. Yet our club cannot find any.

SAF has to take most of the blame for central midfield - but while he was winning, it was difficult to knock him. Now it's all coming home to roost. Get Gustavo in and be done. He's better than what we have, which is a start - he'd be good partnering Carrick.
