Swansea City vs. Manchester United

I don't get the Giggs comments. He has been our only player today offering creativity and made a wonderful assist when we were getting outplayed from Swansea. He cannot control games, but he can offer magic at times that will provide goals.

I agree. Giggs may not be as nimble footed as he once was but his vision and anticipation of other player's actions is better than most.

Worth remembering Swansea are a decent team who've looked in excellent shape coming into this game.

I think it's been a good performance over all.

Jones and Evra look way off the pace and we're far too slow trying to play out from the back, but think back to the mess of a performance at this time last year. This is far better. We look solid and are picking them off quite well.

Carrick's been good. Van PErsie and Welbeck excellent. Giggs needs to stop trying to prove how clever he is every time the ball comes near him.

Don't think Cleverley's been nearly as bad as some seem to be making out. Bigges mistake was the yellow card which was actually Welbeck and Evra's fault.

Valencia's cruising too.

Nah, we are not using wingers that much. Even Valencia is playing much more central than usual.
The game has been narrow and we have adapted to that. Valencia has not seen much at all of the ball but still managed an assist.

To everyone that keep praising Giggs for his assist. You didn't realise it was a massive deflection right?
Yup. He basically gave the ball away a lot, moved like a snail and got lucky with an assist.

We've been shit in possession. Two goals doesn't change that.

Clev has been shocking tbh. Jones, Val and Giggs have been hit and miss as well.

Apart from that our players look well up for it though I think. Great to have Vida back and I think Evra hasnt looked as good as he is looking now for a long time.

Ineffective or perhaps poor at a stretch. But shocking?

Deflected pass or not Giggs is trying to make things happen and he's been involved in most our good play as a result. Just like when you take a shot, get a big deflection and it goes in, you don't then disregard what they player did, he took the chance and it paid off.

Looking quite similar to recent years for us, we're still playing quite spread out making it harder to deal with pressure and suffering because of people not tracing their wingers coming inside but when we settle we can make things happen and have had a few other attempts we should have scored from.

Where did the real noodles go ? :(

Noodle is happy. Therefore all you negative Nancy's can do one as far as I'm concerned

Classic performance from Giggs. Pissing balls away for most of the game but comes up with a brilliant (although I think it was deflected?) assist. Valencia's assist for Welbeck's goal was great as well - hopefully a sign of him getting back to old form!

RvP being RvP.

Al Bundy Sports is no better. Richard Rooney Keys, David Bloody Platt and some permatanned bimbo with the "Barclays British English Premier League" highlights.

Well I don't waste too much time thinking about the wording. He wasnt good, that's all I wanted to say.

Anyway after the 1-0 we got much better into the game. Looked actually like controlling it afterwards.

This thread is a disgrace.

2-0 up at a ground where not many teams will get 3 points and have looked far more dangerous than Swansea. Delighted so far

Just switched on Sky. WTF is with the new studio audience? Awful, just awful!
Christ knows what made them think it was a good idea. If they don't pull it, before the season is over, I'll be amazed.

It's like when Rooney plays that role. Just due to where he plays he will "try to make things happen" and be "involved". That's the point of the role. It doesn't make the performance itself good.

Me too, beyond my best hopes do be 2 up at half time.

We are in an age when some fans are not happy unless everything is perfect and we have entertained for the entire game.

Redknapp  Because RvP scores one goal with his right foot he's proven that he's not predominantly left-footed?

Giggs has been good. He and Carrick are the only players who can make time for themselves on the ball. That thinking time they create for themselves result in key passes

This thread!

Half you guys are completely fecked in the head

Very generous guesswork.

We have a lot of people posting in these threads who let themselves down and the site. I'd ban anyone who suggested Giggs retire and a 30 day ban for those who asked to sub Welbeck.

KEYS: "Rooney's not happy, is he?"
PANEL: "Well, er..."
KEYS: "He's definitely miserable."
PANEL: "..."
KEYS: "He's suicidal."

Agreed. Its been a tricky place to go since they came to the PL. Finish this off and its a valuable three points. They have been very hard to beat at home since they came to the PL.

People seem to think we are playing bottom 10 team. Not many easy aways in the PL these days.

Swansea don't deserve to be losing this, we have been fairly poor, if clinical. It might as well be a SAF side from last year!
They've done feck all with their possession to be fair.
