Shinji Kagawa

It's retarded how a player of Kagawa quality doesn't even make the bench while Giggs start matches. Or Welbeck. Or Young.

Agree 100%. Kagawa is the one player who can play that quality ball for the striker to finish. I dunno what's going on between Moyes and him.

I feel like a cretin for saying it be I'm feeling sick of Moyes already, just spoilt with Fergie I guess. I'm 25 years old and SAF is the only united manager I've known, Moyes comes in an just seems to make bad decisions. Can't think of one positive From him since he joined, from transfers to team selection to the mentality on the pitch it all just seems off.

I wouldn't be surprised if he asked for a loan move tonight, he's a fine talent and deserves better, we don't even have players like him and he isn't even on the bench, he must be gutted.

I can't remember the last time we put in a performance at Anfield. Chill.

The guy hasn't even been given a chance yet.

Sad state of affairs when the likes of Ashley Young not only get in the squad ahead of you but start.

It's madness really.

It's very early to say it still but I really wouldn't blame Kagawa if he asked to leave. He wasn't given a chance last season and it isn't looking like he'll be given one this season either.

I respect that point. I'm talking about July 1st onward. The result today I can accept we've played worse at Anfield an won, but looking at the summer as a whole and his decisions in the games I'm not impressed.

If Kagawa can't get a game when Rooney is out injured, and our options in midfield are so depressing, he'd do well to seek a move elsewhere.

Well despite their performances asking for it Anderson never looked like replacing Carrick and Cleverley, was just a dead weight on the bench.

No problems with Anderson's selection, if Cleverley or Carrick got an injury he's next in line. Kagawa's in competition with Giggs, Welbeck, Young, Nani and Valencia and all of them have been preferred over him today.

Id force a last minute move away if i could at all, if i was kagawa. thats brutal.

Honestly, when I read what Moyes said, I hope for Shinji´s sake, that Zorc (Dortmund´s manager) sweeps in tomorrow, puts 20 Mil € on the table and brings him back to Germany.

Being behind a 40 year old Giggs and an truly average Young in the pecking order is not good enough for a player of Kagawa´s calibre.

So, by the looks of it Moyes does not rate Kagawa highly. Fair enough, then let him go and stop wasting his talent and time. Let him play under a coach, who actually values him, in front of a massive crowd, which loves him and in a system, which suits him.

Maybe then Moyes will realize, what he misses when rating Kagawa.

You could argue that with injury and it being his first season in England such wasn't a surprise, however to have one's place in the order of things hammered hom like Moyes did in that statement, well i can see why a player would feel concerned.

And compare those remarks to those we have heard in relation to other players too.

In fairness, I'm not sure I'd trust Kagawa's ability to get involved in play enough, based on last season, to play him at Anfield today- especially when he's struggling for fitness.

Based on what we saw last year, he would have probably struggled.

Im prepared to wait and there are quotes from the week where moyes says he intends to use him. whether thats true or not will be the deciding factor but kagawa would start at most other clubs in the world. cant make our bench, as its so obvious how much we dont need a player like him. of course.

And that's absolutely ridiculous isn't it.

Young needs to feck off, Giggs is like having a loved relative stopping over at your house but one that's far out stayed their welcome, Welbeck works hard but doesn't create or score enough and Valencia looks more dangerous at right back than he does on the wing.

If we had any balls we'd be starting Nani and Kagawa.

There was a poster here who was ridiculed for saying that Moyes doesn't rate Kagawa because he isn't big/strong enough. I think that it is very possible that this is the case.

I love United and think that Kagawa is a very great player and can bring much to us, but on the other side for his sake I wouldn't be sad if he leaves. He can be one of our best players if the manager gives him the chance (likely our third best player in the entire front four, after RVP and Rooney) but if Giggs, Welbeck and Young are regularly preferred before him than I don't see what's the point to keep him. I know that I would have laughed with this situation if I was a rival fan.

Nothing to be impressed with so far, but life after Fergie was never going to be a walk in the park. THis place has been on countless meltdowns following dodgy team selections from Fergie. Playing Scholes and Giggs together in the last couple of seasons, Rafael in CM and the list goes on. In fact, Fergie's stubborness in not reinforcing our CM is a weakness Moyes inherited rather than created. If anything Moyes shows more urgency in trying to sort out our midfield.

Cleverley and Anderson should not be anywhere near our first team.

Angry about this

Why do we get him, if are not going to use him ?

He surely is beter than Young and Giggs, so WTF ????

based on last season niether would Young or Valencia or Anderson yet they started or made the bench.

He is top quality and is for whatever reason being sidelined.

Then how do you explain Pienaar. He's smaller than Kagawa. The answer isn't just this simple. I think he dislikes Asians after drinking all that Chang.

Mind boggles. Why not sub him with Giggs or was he just not suited for this game?

Is he ? Well the better question would be "is he stronger or not ? ". Height for those type of players means nothing.

With it being a World Cup year Kagawa will have to act either now or in January, and Moyes would need to give him reason to believe that there is a point in turning down clubs willing to offer him a better chance. Such a waste from United's PoV.

Pienaar is a cm taller than Shinji (at-least wiki says so and we all know everything there is absolutely true).

But don't worry, Fellaini will come here tomorrow and become our new No.10

Wiki says Kagawa is 172cm and Pienaar is 170cm.

I'm sure there's a very simple explanation for this whole thing.

He's a much better player. That answer is simple enough. Not like Young is a strong player.
