How much are all these deals worth? I've no idea what the going rate for an Official Nutritional Supplements Partner in Japan is. How many 0s are we expecting?

Who here has stood in a shop in front of two products, one made by a company that sponsors United and one not, and bought the United-linked one for that reason? Mister Potato crisps, for example, in preference to another leading brand, or Paul Smith or Epson or Honda?
I must admit I have occasionally looked out for Cassillero Del Diablo, our official wine partner, just to see if it is any good, though Ive never actually seen it when Ive remembered its name and to look for it. (Id be interested to know if anyone has tried it and what they think?)

I am no marketing expert but I think a lot of this is subconscious. I haven't tried Cassillero Del DIablo but I did recently fly on Turkish Airlines. THey aren't the biggest brand in the world and I would have been wary of them 5 years ago, but their association somehow lends credibility to their brand.
Of Course it makes a difference when the quality between both products is not much.
I travelled to Malaysia last year for the first time, and arriving pretty late at night I found myself in nearby convenience store getting a bit of food when I saw the mighty Mr Potato stacked in front of me like the Holy Grail itself (my memory was that there was a lone spotlight on them, but that may be an exaggerated memory). I couldn't resist, and ignored the Pringles next to them in order to experience Mr Potato for myself.

I try to buy Nike over Adidas whenever possible but that's about it.
Its a shame our partner isnt Tayto - now there is a crisp manufacturer right at the top of its game.
There is the reverse to buying from a club's sponsors. I would never fly on etihad. It does help that any place I want to fly to usually has plenty of flight options.

Yep, I recently sold my Audi so I could buy a Chevy. Also cancelled all my insurance policies with AIG a few years ago and switched over to Aon.
It's not that black and white, its brand awareness
Look at it this way, how many people in ireland/uk had heard of AIG/AON etc big companies need to keep their name in the spot light and need to introduce it into new markets, sponsoring big football clubs is the way to do it, and it works both ways

They bought me a Sony-_-Wow i just checked our official sponsor page, Singha is our official beer! That's my favorite one when i am in Thailand! That's just great.

It's all about brand awareness. The more you are seen the more credible you become. Unless of course your product or service is shite.
We have extended the partnership with Apollo Tyres.. and they are also giving us free rubber pitches
