 OK now that's super funny. Well done Danny!

Let's smack the bitters!

De Gea

Fabio
Evans
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Carrick
Fellaini
Kagawa

Rooney
Van Persie

I'm going for a 2-1!

Let's smash the feckers.

De Gea
Fabio Rio Vidic Evra
Nani Carrick Fellaini Kagawa
Rooney Van Persie

Can't see Valencia being dropped after tonight. I'd have him in for Kagawa, switching Nani to the left. Otherwise I agree with this

de Gea
Smalling Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Carrick Fellaini
Valencia Rooney Young
van Persie

That's what I expect to see, but I'd love to see Nani in for Young.

Can definitely see Welbeck coming in for Kagawa, and Fabio coming in for Smalling (presuming Rafael is still out).

The rest picks itself.

Cannot see Moyes being bold enough to start Kagawa in this one.

.................DDG
.......Fabio Vidic Rio Evra

................Carrick
.........Nani Fellaini Valencia
............... Rooney

.................RVP

Playing a counter-attcking 4-5-1

Great op.

I think the back 4 and central midfield will remain the same as tonight and obviously Rooney and RvP will start up top. I'd like to see Kagawa on the left and Nani on the right but my guess is Young and Valencia will start.

Smalling
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Carrick
Fellaini

Valencia
Rooney
Nani

van Persie

SUBS: Lindegaard, Fabio, Anderson, Cleverley, Young, Kagawa, Hernandez.

Could see Evans coming in for Ferdinand though, he was poor against Leverkusen.

What a logo

2-1 win for us!

Right on with the logo, well done!

Is Nani + Kagawa too offensive minded for an away derby? It's what I'd like to see as well but I'm not sure how aggressive Moyes will be.

I hope Welbeck is fit by Sunday. He's tailor made for matches like this one.

Kagawa's still a little off the pace, and Nani's a bit too wasteful for a game like this one where possession will be key. Either of those two off the bench would work better imo.

Dont think Kagawa will play this one, he looked a bit rusty and Welbeck is better for you in this kind of game. Otherwise I;d imagine it'll be Valencia and Possibly Young or Nani in those positions.

Smalling deserves another chance after tonight. Unlucky fabio who was also good on Saturday, but I think we will require the extra height.

Reckon Giggs will start.

I'd go with Nani because they're quite vulnerable at the back and could see us having lots of success on the counter.

RvP
Nani Rooney Valencia
Fellaini Carrick
Evra Vidic Ferdinand Rafael/Fabio/Smalling
DDG

I can see Moyes starting with 3 midfielders though - Cleverley/Carrick/Fellaini.

For the first time in a while, I want to see the exact same team start twice in a row. Valencia and Smalling were brilliant today and therefore both deserve to play. I also want Kagawa to play, since we generally seem to struggle to create chances against City. That's why I want to throw Kagawa's unpredictability into the mix, even though we're a little exposed on the left. Hopefully Fellaini can plug that gap.

No surprise to see Kompany back in time for this one, but no matter. I'd agree with the same team, except Nani in for Kagawa on the left, and maybe a tactical change at right-back (though Smalling didn't do much wrong tonight).

Prediction:0-5 Fellaini 5 goals

Toughest game of the season, probably all season long (in the premier league at least). Neither teams are in great form or have looked really impressive, so both will have a point to prove. Only person from our strongest 11 missing is Rafael, but hopefully Fabio plays in his place.
Hope/guess it will be..
De Gea
Fabio Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Carrick Fellaini
Valencia Rooney Nani
Van Persie
Kagawa clearly isn't ready for a game like this, and Valencia was great today so deserves to stay in the team. Nani is our best winger IMO so he should start always, especially in big games. He seems to like playing against City too. Rest of the side picks itself.

Is Nani + Kagawa too offensive minded for an away derby? It's what I'd like to see as well but I'm not sure how aggressive Moyes will be.

Now we have two DM's it should allow us to play our most versatile attackers, but Moyes may go cautious for his first derby.

If Moyes is brave, then Nani and Kagawa. If Moyes is careful, then Valencia and Welbeck. If Moyes is real careful away at the Etihad, then it will be RVP as a lone striker and Rooney either on the wings or dropping into a three man midfield.

If City are going to come with the quickness of Aguero, Silva and Nasri, then I think you need a quick defender like Fabio or Raphael instead of the size of Smalling at right back.

If I were Moyes, I'd do this:

De Gea

Rafael
Rio
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Carrick
Fellaini
Cleverley
Rooney (on the left wing)

RVP

Play counterattacking football. City will surely come forward to attack at home and with Pelligrini as their manager. Try to snatch a goal on the counter from a strong defensive position.

If City manage to snatch a goal against that defensive lineup, then insert Nani for Cleverley and move Rooney up top to attack in earnest.

I'm surprised this is a 4pm kickoff. Don't police like these "grudge" matches to be played lunchtime?

I'd pretty much play the same team as against Leverkusen except bring Evans in for Rio.

Defence is nailed on (Fabio or Smalling the only question mark). Young, Nani or Kagawa as candidates for the left side. Apart from those two:

De Gea - Fabio/Smalling, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra - Valencia, Carrick, Fellaini, Young/Nani/Kagawa - Rooney, van Persie

1-1, IMO.
