Absolutely loved the short story, then when it was extended to novel length it became one of my favorite books. Hopefully it will not be as awful as the film version of Startship Troopers (well if you forget the book, the film at least had a certain level of campiness about it).

The book can be disturbing also when you remember just how young Ender and his fellow military school classmates really are supposed to be.
I might do. I recently started reading Dune, have to read that? It's supposedly one of the highest rated scifi books there is, and Enders Game is in the same category.
I loved Starship Troopers, you do have to watch it as a pisstake of fascism & gung-ho action films though. And the redhead was very pleasant I thought. The sequels are fecking dire though.
