Using Fellaini further forward

The moaning is what leaves me perplexed. Overall it has been a decent performance. Given our problems recently, I would expect people to look at positives more. Also, if the analysis on Fellaini is bit logical and proper, then even criticism doesn't look so bad. This is just moaning, for the sake of it. We have Fellaini thread already, so it isn't serving any other purpose anyway to have this thread given he isn't playing further forward.

i'm certainly focusing more on the performance....delightful compared to recent times!

Give me a well-positioned intercepter over a tackler any day of the week.

He is just not the quality we should have

I'm watching the Bayern match at the same time, we haven't a chance of competing with them with players like Fellaini and Cleverley as first choice midfielders. It's not even remotely close.

Good assist, everything else was horrific. At least we didn't concede with him on.

Why didn't we buy Ozil? If we using him further forward.

I'd use him further back in away games, preferably left back in Manchester.

OMG his touch and passing is of Sunday Pub league quality...

He was completely dreadful again, he's a pretty average CM anyway but he's lot, lot better than this.

This is still very much a puzzling signing and even more baffling selection given what he offers to our midfield. Is he really better than Anderson at being clueless in midfield?

He played up and down in midfield, no static position. Was deep as often as he was advanced of Carrick and Cleverley.

Poor touches, gave the ball away too much, got tackled too much, gave away lots of freekicks. Struggling

30 fecking million  Dear me. He's really proven the people who didn't want him right so far. Should never, ever, play as the number 10 when Rooney is out, because we have Kagawa on the bench and then Januzaj is also there.
Prefer Cleverley in center mid to him as well. One thing he's good for is giving us some depth and enables us to rest Carrick once in a while, but he should have been bought as a starter, which his is what his price will unfortunately force him to be.

We have Rooney, Kagawa, RVP and Januzaj whom I would prefer a million times more than Fellaini to play there. It makes sense to play him in a 4-3-3 but as a central midfielder. As a No.10 it would be a disaster.

Too much for his level I think. I'll make a decision at the end of the season. I want him to do well , but feel it's not going to happen.

Most bizarre thing was his complete failure to use his big frame to keep hold of the ball.

At the highest level he doesn't have the speed of tought for the game IMO.

He was definitely pushed behind RvP later in the second half for about 20 minutes or so. Strangely enough he was just as hopeless in possession up top as he was when he played beside Carrick.

Any specific criticisms? Be careful in your reply by the way, don't want to offend people who mistakenly think he's a good footballer.

Cant keep up with breaks, cant hold off small players trying to get the ball off of him, cant keep the ball and so on
