Prefers blue over red, loathed by Spurs fans
Would be even worse if Moyes decided to sign Fellaini instead of Herrera.
I have no hate towards Fellaini but his signing is baffling. I really like the Carrick and Cleverley midfield duo. Haven't we played well when those two have been together?! Trying to get Fellaini in there seems to upset our balance a bit. I'm not knocking his talent, I just really don't think it's a fit.
what i am afraid of is that Moyes will insist on playing him despite form and his quality.
I can't think of much I like less.
How else will he get better? You have a relatively easy run of games (apart from the CL game) in which he will surely improve in.
BINGO
yeah, i can't take credit for it though![]()
Ah, Herrera. The new Iniesta.Would be even worse if Moyes decided to sign Fellaini instead of Herrera.

Carrick/Fellaini?

When I reference price as a negative I'm taking into account his release clause was 23mil... So yes it is a worse signing.
I hope proves the doubters wrong an makes me look like a fool but I honestly can't see him being a success here. I may be overly negative with him but other are overly positive, looking at him rose it tied specs.
Will he suddenly gain the ability to move around the pitch? That's a pretty basic requirement for a United midfielder.

He makes me wish I was getting raped by a disease-ridden camel just so that I don't have to watch him play for us. Seeing him in a United shirt is like seeing a disease-ridden camel raping me in a United shirt.
The trouble for Moyes is that Fellaini is going to be synonymous with him as a manager. He can't exactly get rid of him easily as people will wonder why he wasted £27.5m on a player he's managed for five years and should know isn't good enough.
We were so insistent on his signing and i'll give him more time to prove why. But at the moment it's not looking good. He's better than this, but by how much, i'm not quite sure. He's a experienced player and you'd expect him to show more ability at this level. He got left for dead by sheer pace a few times while his touch and use of possession was dire. He'll surely improve as we've seen at Everton but he raises more questions about midfield than answers.
We paid big money and we expected better.

This.
I commented that he looks slow and immobile pretty much after his first game.
"Tough?" Get a fecking grip. They are very different players, to play different roles. No, a technically sound, tough, mobile midfielder who can tackle, get around the pitch and also offer some much needed creativity.
Basically ticks all the boxes Fellaini doesn't.

And that's why United wanted both. But they didn't think Herrera was worth what you think.
He's playing exactly like I've seen him play this pre-season for Everton. Exactly. And he was shit then, absolutely useless. Movement - shit. Positioning - see movement. Elbowing - not great either.
What the actual feck? Is this a dip of form? SilentWitness seems convinced he's way better than that and I really hope he's right and not just trolling us.
Ah, muppet love is the craziest love.Yeah, tough! Watch him play, alternatively check his tackling stats - he's a tough bugger and a nasty piece of work as well!
More so than the supposed "steel" Fellaini is supposed to be adding in midfield. If "steel" is going walkabout when not in possession and lose the ball by being outmuscled, then sure.
He was really poor tonight, but feck sake, it was his first away game in the CL against a good team at an intimidating stadium. People need to chill out here.
As a new signing he should be wanting to impress, and be busting a gut. More than lack of ability not trying is unforgivable. I noticed this from in his previous games at Old Trafford.
He's a much, much better player than he showed tonight.
Fellaini was all right tonight, but his inexperience at this level showed. Unfortunate yellow as I thought our midfield did look stronger with him there. The Ukrainians launched a lot more attacks from their own half when he left.
Ah, muppet love is the craziest love.
