Sunderland Vs Manchester United

Lots of movement in the team. I also like the fact players are actually playing in their natural positions.

Good team, can't complain really,

This is the most balanced team hes started this season tbh. Wingers on the side based on their foot. This should give us width rather than the predictable always cut inside. And a RB that is actually a RB. And midfielders who are mobile and can keep possession.

There are no excuses, this is all on the players now.

This is more like it, We need to bang in a few from open play to get the confidence up. Hopefully this team will create a few chances for RVP, he looked very lonely against Shaktar.

Liverpool win. Rodgers says: "We're not getting carried away. I think we could win the octuple."

Kagawa has done nothing to deserve a starting place, been pretty poor so far despite the hardon for him here! This line up is perfect! Haven't been as excited about a young player like Januzaj since Ronnie, I s'pose!

I am not so sure since Adnan has done quite well, especially for someone of his age and it looks as though he has made so much of an impression that Moyes decided to start him in the first place. As for Kagawa, perhaps Moyes believes that Kagawa hasn't done enough either in training or in match time (even though he has very minutes) to convince the manager.

If you've sen his performance for the u21s on monday then you'll know why Adnan is being picked. He's not yet settled in the first team obviously, but he has shown what he brings when he is settled through his performances at u21. He completely orchestrated every attack on Monday, there was a chance created nearly every time he had the ball. We need to get him comfortable in the first team and he'll probably go on to become our star man.

Mad Winger (poster) will have a heart attack watching Adnan in the team ahead of Kagawa.

Why's Smalling the only defender when we could have put Fabio in for Giggs or Valencia on the bench

Such a ballsy team. It's exciting, dangerous and has the potential for some fluent football. There can be no excuses today.

God help these players if they don't get those 3 points.

United don't want to lose Adnan the same way as Pogba. Giving him games as an enticement him to sign a contract.

Young's not even on the bench, excellent. Don't expect to see him again this season barring an injury crisis and Carling Cup games.

Dream scenario: Januzaj plays a blinder of a season, signs a 5 year deal, gets given #7

Agreed. Lets hope it kick-starts our season.

I'd hope that's not the only reason we're playing him tbh.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the u-21 match on Monday so, I cannot make a comment. However, from what I have seen already in his few performances he has made this season, I believe he has done enough to warrant a place against Sunderland. It is the ultimate compliment for a player who has played only a few minutes. I said it in a matchday thread before, the last time I was excited watching a player was in the days of Giggs when he was younger and then Cantona.

They just showed the table on Sky Sports the cnuts

I am not sure about that Sultan. I believe that Moyes has seen enough to be convinced to start him in a full premier league game, albeit against Sunderland. The fact that we are not saying that Moyes is "risking his future by playing a youngster", speaks volumes about the confidence we have in Adnan to do well.

That's a great lineup, looking forward to see Jones playing where he should be.

Confident about this one.

Excited about Januzaj but Shinji really does look out of favour now.

Sunderland:Westwood, Celustka, O'Shea, Roberge, Colback, Cattermole, Ki, Johnson, Gardner, Giaccherini, Altidore.

Subs: Cabral, Larsson, Wickham, Cuellar, Mannone, Ji, Borini.

In case anybody is interested.

Wes brown is out injured. He has only made the bench once this season.

Load of cack.

Great to see Adnan starting. Is Evans injured? I'd have him as my first choice CB to partner Vidic.

Schmeichel on Sky. I thought this was meant to be Jamie's show? I guess sky have realised how shit he is.

I'm still going to be happy with a draw but that line up has put faith in me, we're going for the win here and I'm very happy about that as I genuinely thought we'd set up defensively again.
