Post Match Vs Sunderland

We saw that game many times under SAF. Glad to see Moyes was able to turn things around

Adnan, my word!

Can he sign with someone else in January? If so, he needs to get a tasty contract asap. Thought Jones played better as the game progressed. De Gea the stand-out performer apart from Adnan, kept us in the game.

Very important win.

Januzaj is incredible. Rooney and RVP were poor. Defensively we look shaky, but Jones looked better as the game went on. Great save DDG, hopefully we kick on from here and start climbing the table.

I thought our big players really let us down. Full backs and wingers going forward were our highlight. Thought Carrick and Cleverley were very balanced albeit slightly static in their passing. Januzaj, De Gea and to some extent Jones come out as gamewinners today. Jones in the second half was brilliant, as good as any defensive performance we've seen this season (not saying much). De Gea's save from Giacherrini was so important. Januzaj not only scoring the two goals, but both brilliant in their own way.

A kick up the arse for the £180k+ a week boys up front and who knows, there might be some life in this old dog.

Again too many players not anywhere near their best. Sunderland given a free goal at the start allowed them to sit back and laugh at our pathetic attempts to put together anything resembling decent attacking play, and but for De Gea the game could have been lost at half time.

Januzaj put himself on the radar of everyone who wasn't aware of him before today. I fear it will be a difficult task for us to keep him if his agent has any real influence over him, the lure of a fat payment will definitely have him looking to other clubs.

Defensively we're extremely shaky but i think that'll be sorted in time, adnan was a revelation and that's what you get when you take a chance on creative players, rooney was terrible but all in all it was a good performance and will give us much needed confidence.

Yes.

YES.

Thank feck for that. I was gutted at half time, absolutely gutted. Now it's put me in a fecking awesome mood. I still can feel the adrenaline. Get the feck in.

Januzaj, you've made it lad. Keep going. Welbeck was fantastic. Cleverley did well.

Come on United

We actually looked like creating something tonight. Which was brilliant. We still looked shaky defensively though, still have to find the balance. Vidic may only be a one game a week player.

Januzaj was head and shoulders above the rest
Sunderland are shite.

Thank Fcuk for that. You don't half make me chew my nails off!

We won but where pretty shit. We need to play a lot better. And enough of crossing into the box all the time, this is 2013.
We were last seasons top goal scoring team. Most of those goals came from wide deliveries.
We won and played a decent game. it was exciting to watch and we dominated and Sunderland only really got us on the break. We tried to play positively, one of our young players had a great game as a starter, our keeper keeps getting better. We tried to go forward and it wasnt always from out wide. there was variety in our play. The goal we conceded came from an individuals error at the back. We recovered and despite having 2 strikers off form with respect to scoring we created tons and tons of chances.
feck knows what some of you lot are watching. Good game, I enjoyed it and there were far far more positives than negatives. Im sure some of you lot are only happy if you are whining.

Awful performance in the first half, we played with those tactics that would have made even Tony Pulis proud.

Things changed in the second half when players understood that if they try they can actually pass. Not the bestest of performances but I think we played very good until the last 10 minutes. Januzaj is going to become a star and playing him consistently has been the best thing Moyes has done so far.

Anyway, the international games are coming when we need them most. Hopefully after the pause we'll fix things and we continue playing like we did in second half.

On negatives (except the first half) are Carrick and RVP. Our two best players of last season have actually forget how to play football. Without analyzing the reasons, it would be good if they at-least give some decent performances.

Oh, Januzaj deserves another mention. Just for being awesome. Can we make him captain now  ?

He just looks a bit psycho, which at the time I thought was cool. Perhaps now I'd take a different view of it...

I think its a great picture, but its just a bit 'wtf?'...like, how'd it even come about

It made a great avatar.

One of the most reassuring things for me was the potential effectiveness of Nani and Januzaj from the wings. It's been a long time since we saw players on both sides taking on and beating opponents, then producing something worthwhile. They switched wings to great effect. Imagine if the rest of our players were confident and matching their performance levels. We could be playing some sexy stuff. Just contrast that to what happened when we took both of them off.

Some confident passing after we scored but we're still shit in the final third. Movement is bad, link up play is bad, it's chaos.

Why do people complain about others being positive? So weird. The people who go around quoting "Top Red" are almost to a man the worst posters as well.

A world class save from De Gea and 2 cracking goals from Januzaj have pulled us out of the fire today, but in context we were close to going in 2-0 down against a team who has only gotten 1 point so far this season. It's a step in the right direction but there were still worrying signs when we were pressed hard in midfield in the first half.

I don't think either Rooney or RvP are fully fit, they could do with using this international break for a rest.

People on here dissatisfied with the performance are being unconstructive. Gn the context of the game at half time as will as the start to this season, a great win. I'll take wins like that any game this season.

Morale boosting win which will hopefully inject some confidence into both Moyes and the squad. Given the context of the game at half time as will as the start to this season, I'll take wins like that any game all season long.

Hope it puts a bounce into the step of our players in training and that we can now go on a run of sorts that lasts til xmas.

Januzaj, De Gea and Jones deserve our salutations.

Jones? He wasn't very good at all.
