Good game that. Always should have been ours in terms of possession and general play but without (MOTM) Adnan we could have played for another couple of hours without scoring.

I dont think it was a good game and our general play was bad. Thank God for that kid though saved a lot tonight.

Cleverley is depressingly unadventurous.

Cleverley is a decent footballer and not a bad option as a squad player. He's missing two vital things. Two things that really make a difference. Two things that IMO, it is imperative that any Manchester United first teamer have.

1. A right ball
2. A left ball

The kids a severe lack confidence, swagger, belief, mojo...call it what you want but he ain't got it. I think he needs some one on one time coaching because he could be a good player if he could grow a pair.

I never saw any signs he would. The hype on here always puzzled me. I hoped it was worth it, but he's a tidy player at best.

Yeah it was more hope than expectation that he'd become a great player. Can't see him being anything other than a decent squad player for us.

I think today was actually one of our better games in terms of creating chances. We need to sort the balance though.

Could you imagine turning up to many games with that as a centre mid combo? We'd be utterly dominated.

Barring the odd comment, I dont agree with you. Its not a sign of being spoilt or unrealistic to expect us to do better than what we have so far. Just look at our squad, people arent even asking for the title straightaway, just that we should compete for it which is totally reasonable.

Had to leave for work at halftime, I was watching and recording the game. I had a very pleasant suprise when I got home and was able to finish watching the game. Very nice indeed.

This. I was surprised by how negative a lot of people on here were being about our attacking play after the game.

I think it was one of those games where you shouldn't average out the two halves. Just accept that it was a poor first half (thanks partly to yet another previously shit team playing against us like they were in the CL final), and focus on the generally good second half performance.

Amusing logic in RedRossi's post too: 'If you ignore the contribution of our most creative player, we weren't very creative.'
