Scrap a win here, beat Shakhtar at home then we don't have to worry about Leverkusen away.

We will blame you if we lose, if Kagawa doesn't start, and Buttner plays LB

4-5-Hernandez

Who are we playing at the weekend

I don't think Januzaj will start because.......
A) He has played 210 minutes in the last 3 games
B) I think he will start against Arsenal

I hope Chicharito, Kagawa, Fellaini and Fabio are in the Starting XI.

And i hope the injuries of Evra, Rafael, Evans and Cleverley aren't bad.

A win in Sociedad and we're basically in the Last 16 round.

Definitely a start for Hernandez, resting VP probably is the best option.

We're gonna need to play very well on Sunday. Arsenal looked sh!T hot against Liverpool.

I am expecting Hernandez, Kagawa, Nani and Welbeck(if fit) to start as front four in this one. I hope we'll decide to attack them, as they looked like probably one of the easiest opponents so far this year.

De Gea
Fabio---Smalling---Vidic---Evra/Buttner
Jones---Fellaini
Nani---Rooney---Giggs
Hernandez
Something like this I think would be best - Giggs and Rooney can be flexible enough to drop-back and help the midfield if/when they get overrun. Tough on Kagawa, but I think Giggs would bring more to the table defensively in that position. RVP rested in line with the ongoing rotation with Hernandez. With the suspected injuries then Smalling and Vidic to get some time together ahead of the Arsenal game; left-back depends on Evra's fitness, and Fabio to start to show his worth to the new manager in Rafael's absence. I'd like a big performance from Nani in this one - he's well overdue a goal if nothing else.

De Gea
Fabio Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Fellaini Anderson
Valencia Rooney Kagawa
Hernandez

Really struggled to think of midfielders to start this one with Carrick and Cleverley both apparently injured  If Evra is injured, then move Fabio to left back and put Jones at right back. Hopefully Hernandez starts, despite the twitter stuff. Don't think there's any chance of Januzaj starting today either, he played the full 90 in the last 2 matches and he should be a dead cert to start against Arsenal. Nani or Valencia for the right wing.
I'll take any win here, which would put us within touching distance of qualifying. And no injuries please, 3 or 4 in the last game was more then enough.

Annoying there's not a tougher challenge for you given we're at Dortmund a day later.

As with the first match, they're a joke and should be swatted 5-0.

Something like:

De Gea
Fabio Smalling Evans Evra
Valencia Fellaini Anderson Nani
Kagawa
Hernandez
it will be a srong team and it will give some players much needed minutes. Rest Rooney and RVP for Arsenal and unleash Adnan in the second half (with an eye for Arsenal game when he should start).

I hope that we'll get a win. A draw would be risky cause then we may potentially need to defeat Leverkusen away in order to get the first spot.

My first ever matchday thread, so you know who to blame if it doesn't go our way? That's right, nemanja15 for not getting there first.

I believe in you Colin. Also, tonight I've been taking Meth, so there you have it Colin. Drug abuse.

Looking forward to this game. To be honest reckon Colin129 has done enough here to secure us a win. Untested at this level but we're in a nice position in the group and probably best to experiment here with a game against Arsenal coming up. If he does well maybe give him a few more run outs in cup games hoping to see him kick on in the league at the tail end of the season.

Colin has done enough? He can't even spell the opposition correctly. We're fecked now absolutely fecked.

It's his first game of this nature.

TBH I'm sick of the negativity in these threads. He's done an alright job tonight and people are still complaining. I'll back him till the end because that's what supporters do.

No way man, he's in over his head. All he has is that stupid fuzzy head of his but that cuts no ice with me. We wanted nemanja15, we got Colin what a feckin disaster.

No comment on the events of this thread so far. Many apolagies I didn't get there first.

As for the team? If Cleverley travels that means he's probably fit enough to play, if not, I guess it will have to be Anderson.

de Gea

Fabio
Ferdinand
Smalling
Evra

Valencia
Fellaini
Cleverley
Nani

Rooney
Hernandez

SUBS: Lindegaard, Jones, Anderson, Young, Giggs, Kagawa, van Persie.

We'll have to hope we can get Rafael/Evans/Vidic/Carrick/Januzaj/van Persie fully fit and ready for Arsenal (with current doubts over a couple of them), which is by far the most important game of the season so far.

3 points here would be massive, not just in terms of qualification, but we'll also get a boost going into the Arsenal game. I'd like to see Hernandez, Nani and Rooney all start together. Rest Januzaj and RVP for the Gooners.

If we win, he'll have to misspell every opponent's name, just to be sure.

Anders

Valencia
Rio
Smalling
Fabio

Fellaini
Ando
Giggs

Nani
Hernandez
Young

A point here will do and the above team should achieve it comfortably, it's a must to beat Arsenal at the weekend with our best possible team
