It's no good harping on about the price now as he'll never prove he's worth half of it - but that isn't his fault, he didn't set the price, we did.

What you have to do is analyze his performance, which today is a decent performance from a defensive midfielder. Not spectacular, but decent and solid.

People will always mention it. Look at Carroll and Torres.

flicked over to see highlights of Juve game and it saddens you to see how confident and effective Pogba is.....

Fellaini has been ok - not as good as someone like Darren Fletcher and it makes you wonder were we wise to not meet Pogba's demands even if they were out of our pay structure for a young player

Fellaini will need to start showing much more if he is to justify the money we paid on him - hard to believe he cost as much as he did

What is it with people and constantly going back to things that are long done and dusted?

Why do we make no use of his aerial ability whatsoever? Even from freekicks and corners. He always got on the end of crosses when he played against us. Have we hit his head once from a dead ball since he came here?

Been thinking the exact same thing. He hardly ever deals with corners and hasn't looked like scoring. And to think, his aerial threat was one of the factors listed by those advocating his transfer.

He's played well, but he's been an utter brain dead spastic in regards to his fouling.

I don't want us to play long balls up to him, but surely that fro is an easy target to hit from a corner/free kick? Stick it on his fecking head, make use of him being a big lanky cnut.

Actually having a good game before the sending off. Showed more mobility and more composure passing the ball tonight in Spain than at any other time in his United career and really made a nuisance of himself in midfield. Positive signs. I can suspend disbelief again, I have hope in Fellaini.

It's no good harping on about the price, he will never justify it and that's not his fault, it's ours. I think he would be decent enough for us to have as a sub but here are better players we could be putting on the team sheet ahead of him to start games.

Liability. Contributed nothing except a series of fouls that made it obvious he'd get sent off, then continued to keep fouling people anyway. Thirty fecking million.

He was actually good up until the red card, one of the better players for sure - although that might be saying more about the team's performance as a whole.

He did well. Real shame about the red card. That first yellow was a joke. That's what the morons will latch on to.

You can see the cnuts above who are just loving it are the usual suspects.

Moyes should have taken him off after about 70 mins. He fouled a couple times after the first booking and he's always likely to again considering the role he plays and Sociedad players tried their best to get him sent off. ITs in Europe too, even if the ref isn't as card happy as other European ref's, you don't risk it.

Oh come on! He was very decent in the 2nd half.

He's out of his depth.

Made four or five shockingly unnecessary fouls due to him being too slow to play at the top level and not having control over his body.

Decent first half, offered nothing in the second half.

Not good enough for United, I still maintain. He'll have a hell of a job to convince me he is.

The doghouse for another three weeks?

He was good, if the yardstick is against himself so far this season. The actual yardstick should be top quality, world class and he's about as close to that as he is the moon.

I thought he was good, could only complain about the red card which was built upon by silly tackles. The ref gave away the softest of free kicks that game so a player like Fellaini was bound to be cautioned a lot. Calling him hopeless because of that game is idiotic, because he did make some useful forward passes that game and did pose a presence.

Let's not make more of the red than what it was. Yes we could all see it might have happened, but the 1st yellow was harsh, the 2nd was clumsy. Shouldn't have done it, but he won't be the last player to pick up 2 yellows like that. I don't think it would have been 2 bookings in the PL.

Overall he did pretty well tonight and improved from his previous 3 games.

Some very differing views on his performance in here. I only saw the last 20 minutes and from reading the last two pages of this thread I still haven't a clue how he did. It ranges from worst player ever to good.

Love it. All the cnuts you'd expect race to this thread to somehow make out Fellaini was shit in this game.

Sociedad players were diving like there's no tomorrow. He was easily one of the best players today on the pitch but yea, he'll get shit from people here although Robin and Chicharito bottled it.
