Not more disappointing than anyone else - did you write that in Rooney's thread, Vidic's thread, Velencia's etc etc? Or is it the age argument all over.

Don't be ridiculous, I've not got onto them yet, and Vidic disappointing? Right.
Vidic hoofs the ball too much and lost some duels that I expected him to win - I thought Rio was better tonight.
So because of his passing game, that means he was disappointing? He made a couple of crucial tackles and was solid throughout. Judging him based on his passing, when Giggs/Fellaini didn't drop deep is very harsh.
What made Giggs so disappointing then? You offered no arguments what so ever.
I've offered you one argument: not dropping deep. Ferdinand and Vidic on the ball, look up, see no one drop deep, pass ball to De Gea, or they hoof the ball up. The other negatives were his range of passing today and involvement - I really expected him to get more involved when the game was more open.
950th up for Giggs tonight as well.
Incredible.
I can't believe we're still using a nigh on 40 year old football away from home in the Champions League in a two man midfield. It's insane really.

We bossed the possession stats.
Was more to do with how inept Sociedad were than us really. Giggs gave a typically passable 40-year-old Giggs performance tonight. Which is to say it's fairly well done, albeit against a team that was never going to trouble him much in midfield. The pace of the game was so slow and they gave him so much time on the ball that Giggs actually looked fast without ever breaking out of a trot. I'd actually like to see him press up more and get into crossing positions more often. His crosses are still quality, much more so than his long passes which often go to no one in particular.
So, play him left wing then? Because he's not going to do that playing in a midfield two away in Europe. He was much better last season when Fergie switched him to the left. Away to Swansea. He's probably still our best left winger, at 40...
49 matches to go until he hits 1000!
I thought he got there last year vs Madrid?
That was including international caps. He's on 951 for United at the moment.
Ah, I see. Think he'll come up just short personally.
