Shinji Kagawa

Kagawa will make it here. His touch, awareness, vision, dribbling, passing and shooting are all top notch. He also works hard, so being a Berbatov won't be a problem.

He needs to deal with the physicality of the league better. I know he is small but you don't have to get huge overnight to deal with bigger and stronger players. Yes, strengthening will obviously help but it is experience that will surely help the most.

I hate comparing another Asian player to Park but they both did well in their respective countries, moved to Europe and did well and then made the big move to United. They are both small players too.

Park always had the great work-rate and a very good skill set. But his first two seasons here polarized quite a few of our fans. He fell over way way too much. Kagawa, who has even more quality, falls and gets pushed off the ball all the time and it gets frustrating.

I think it took Park until his third year here to gain Fergie's confidence and then he was starting all of our biggest games. Kagawa was good last year and showed good production for his first season. He had a bad injury but still put up some decent numbers and showed his creativity quite a bit.

Kagawa will simply get better and better here because he is a fantastic footballer with all the traits to be a star Man United player except for strength. I am confident he can work on this and learn how to play against the giants in the Premier League.

I hope you're right. I really want to see him succeed here but to be very honest, he'l have to step it up a notch to really excel here. Needs to have more faith in his own undoubted ability. Really seems unwilling to take people on or grab games and influence them. Keeping things simple and ticking over isnt going to be enough for him here specially considering our style of play which is very different to the likes of Dortmund and Japan which suit him more. Our lack of great movement or pace in the build up means our players have to do more individually.

Our whole team hasn't looked great bar a few games this season. Moyes is still trying to find out what works. I really hope the Arsenal win gives the team some much needed confidence.

traditionalists and rooney lovers the lot of you.

Kagawa is a fine player, we need to play him more centrally though to see the best of him, I know he'll be willing out wide but
that should be the exception rather than the rule...

Guys this isn't the place for Kagawa discussion.

Having said that, now that I know that people are reading my stuff and that I'm not just another fish in the crowd, I'm gonna try to change my approach for a bit. From now on, I will not reply to any of your posts in this particular thread. I will still keep writing, though. I will write my opinion on Kagawa's performances, news, and generally my opinion on how to include him better to our tactics and formations

Some gimps have agreed with him and now he thinks he's Rinus Michels...

My guest book is only the tip of the iceberg. You lot should have seen my inbox:lol:

But seriously; how often do people bother to send messages to people they agree with on an online forum? If people bother to go through such troubles only to let me know that a random dude on the internet "supports" me, then that has to count for something. It's not that I would have stopped posting without these messages though. I'm too stubborn for that. But it's still cool to know that some people read my stuff and like what they see. If a handful of people(and then some) bother to send me messages, then one can only begin to wonder just how many people support me in silence.

This was never really of importance to me, though. I just wanted to add my input to the discussion. Nothing more.

This way, we all win(at least a little). My posting rate is gonna get reduced drastically when I don't have to reply to shitty comments, this thread is gonna get less messy, and I still get to say my opinion.

Stay tuned, fanZ:cool:
HaterZ gonna hate:devil:

Yeah, this post really sums up why people get annoyed with you. It's ALL ABOUT YOU.

That said, I'm glad to here that your post rate is going to decrease. Why don't you venture into some of the other threads and discuss some other topics?

He's like the Redcafe Messiah, incredible work. I feel kind of shit being a traditionalist and not seeing Shinji can be the solution to all of our problems here, shame on us all. Hopefully MW will repent all of our sins for us

I'd be fairly confident will be a success here, he has too much quality compared to our other options.

I'm starting to think he won't reach the very top level so many thought he would when we signed him though. People here suggested he could reach a level on par with the likes of Ozil, which seems a long way away atm. I think could have a similar career to Nani: a very good player who never really reaches the top level his talent suggested he would. When his form is good he'll be an important player and look top class, then when his form drops he'll drift in and out of the team.

Kagawa's problem is partly that we're not playing him in his best position (and never really will while Rooney is here as Rooney is a better player). Plus even if Rooney did leave, Moyes would probably try to sign another top player who could play in that role, it'd be a big risk to just assume Kagawa would step up once he was given that chance.

Beyond that, maybe he was slightly overrated when we signed him anyway. He had just two(?) very good seasons in a team that might as well have been custom built to get the best out of him. There was never any guarantee he could translate and build on that form with us.

Think he's looking more settled in our team of late. Still needs to be more expressive and brave but it's getting better.

Well, a Liverpool fan is convinced Kagawa won't make it here, so I'm washing my hands of him and going back over to the Rooney Traditionalists Club

I will admit to being a bit of a traditionalist - perhaps even a troglodyte or, as they call it: a trogloditionalist. That said, I do enjoy sushi.

I think some of the comments on his page might have been a bit too traditionalist. It's fair enough to remove them, he's a role model and beacon of hope to all the progressive footballing thinkers here on the caf, he can't let Rooney lovers who can only see one side of football tarnish his reputation.

I love the football we're playing with Kagawa today.
