Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United

Suppose that's not the worst result in the world.

it's a pretty shit one though, Spurs are crap, and it's mostly the performance that annoys me, never looked like we wanted to win it, or particularly gave a feck (apart from Rooney, as usual).

Dire.

He's just trailing Defoe it is obvious he is going to do him for pace, why not go and try and mark the space that Defoe is going to try and get into and head him off.

Why not press the opposition in the first place when it's as obvious as it gets that they'll lump the fecking ball to Defoe to the free space?

Vidić's done brilliantly there. Shame we couldn't win this game.

Meh in a 'normal' situation i.e not being 10 points off the top a draw at WHL wouldn't be the worst result but we just cant afford to drop points. 8th in the league is a fecking disgrace.

After dropping points at Cardiff last weekend, this isn't the respense you'd associate with Manchester United teams of the past. Spurs needed the points too, but we should have done better. Disappointed.

Moyes sets us up to be too negative. He will never change, we will be saying the same things in 3 years time whilst he is still here with his brand of rubbish.

We must be the 1st team in the league that actually made Spurs look good. Good game of football but we really needed a win today.

Tottenham away, regardless of their current form is a decent draw.
Especially being behind twice.

Need to put in a few wins now though to say the least

Didnt deserve to win. Apart from Rooney and jones and Valencia first half that was dissapointing.

Not good enough in possesion, very wasteful, created very little. story of our season.

What a goal by Sandro though!

Don't know how Wayne Rooney wasn't on a winning team today. He's carrying us.

The likes of Valencia and Cleverley need to get their shit together in the league. Massively frustrated at the timing and choice of sub's today.

not awful...but 9 points off the top..with the Arse playing pretty well...is not a great way to go into Christmas....

What pisses me off is that Moyes has brought his "draw is good" mentality with him....we just don't do draws if we can help it...

There's no way he'l be here 3 seasons if we dont improve.

A draw at the lane missing two of our 3 best players? Not a bad result at all.

spurs were always going to be tough after the 6-0. Was very pleased with Rooney, Val & Jones - still too may non-contributors though stalling our play.

I'd say forget about Arsenal, we have no chance of catching them.

Lets focus on getting fourth - in which case we are 2 points behind everton!!! YESSSSSS

2-2 at the Lane is ok, albeit not a super performance. It's the Southampton and Cardiff draws that let us down. We need to finish top four, buy wisely in the next two windows and see what Moyes' United looks like next year. Spurs owed their fans a shift. The 6-0 last week is as much against us a a reason we should hammer them.

Agree. Cardiff, Souhampton and West fecking Brom. I don't mind dropping points against Title/Top 4 challenging teams if it means them not getting them either, it's the others we can't be caving in to. That so far is the clearest difference between Moyes and Ferguson. SAF would switch to three at the back or put Valencia at RB and throw the kitchen sink at any midtable to bottom side that wasn't giving us three points, and rightly so.

A draw was the right result probably.

Individually it wasn't a bad game or performance, but the issue is that with your slow start, you have to win these games to make up for it.

The view that Moyes played for a draw is rubbish. You tried, but the sides were very closely matched and there's no point being stupid and leaving massive gaps in the vain pursuit of a winner.

Bit weird to mention that from a game where we were behind twice.

I'm talking about the big picture. We've turned wins into draws this season, so we need to start turning draws into wins. Finding a way to the 3 points whether we deserve it or not is a sign of a top class team. We need to make some luck for ourselves.

But tbf, playing Welbeck from the start was an odd decision. He got a pen and all, but easing him in at 70 min or something makes more sense if he's coming back from an injury.

Drama, a point away to Spurs is not a bad result especially without Carrick and Rafael. Given we had Clev and Jones in midfield a draw was as much as we were going to get out of the game.

Completely agree with this.

Yea going to be a struggle for 4th place, let alone challenge for the title. We arent losing games but we arent winning them either. Shocking that the likes of Newcastle and Southampton are ahead of us at this stage of the season. Looks like Moyes still has plenty to learn about this squad.
