Well you'll have to get used to Moyes mate. We all knew we were in for a rough ride when Fergie retired. Even Fergie didn't win anything between 2004-2006.

Why should a change of manager automatically mean we're in for a rough ride? Unless the team are actually poor? But they almost won 5 league titles in a row.

Erm because he won the league last season with this current squad? No other manager could have gotten as much out of this squad than Fergie. So much deadwood that needs to be cleared out. Because this is the first time that the club has had to undergo a managerial change for 26 years? 5 league titles in this discussion is irrelevant because a few seasons ago we had Ronaldo, a fit Vidic and Ferdinand, Scholes, younger Giggs, Tevez, Berbatov. You can't honestly say that this current squad is good enough coming up against the likes of City and the best in Europe. We needed to bolster the squad but our shambolic transfer window meant that we bought a 27m player that can't get into the squad ahead of Cleverley and a centreback.

If Roberto Martinez can transform a mid table team into top 4 challengers within a couple of weeks because of his ability to not only easily attract the players he wants to play for him but also spot weakness's instantly in a team that need fixing then surely he is a better manager than Moyes....Not to mention his teams playing with a much better style

Everton's issue had always been the lack of a top quality forward, I don't think results would have been especially different under Moyes had he been gift-wrapped Lukaku.

Deulofeu, Barry and McCarthy have all made a big impact along with Lukaku.....Everton are playing nicer football now then they ever did under Moyes........But I will live in hope that Moyes can sort it out

To be fair they played some decent stuff with Moyes, I hope with better players he's less direct but look at players like Coleman and Baines, they are flying now and Moyes has a heck of a lot to do with that.

The main problem for him is that he didn't get the key creative centre midfielder he really wanted (hence so much time was spent on Fabregas - whether that was justified or not is a different debate). Debts aren't really an issue anymore, hence why MUST etc have been very quiet on that side and getting more involved in other issues like safe standing, etc.

I don't think anything will be solved in the January window, but we are on a good unbeaten run and generally starting to play better, although we still have some way to go, and have qualified comfortably though in the CL so I'm reasonably optimistic so far.

This is Ferguson's squad - I don't think you can blame Moyes for a the sudden evaporation in winning mentality. More likely, it's just a collective form slump - I don't care what anyone says about being 12 games unbeaten, we're not in good form.

One thing I would back Moyes to do is instil a sense of manliness in our side - it was a hallmark of his Everton teams.

He's ok in that regard. He just needs to get the squad playing as a team and be a bit more attack minded.

Not the whole "winning" thing, but there is no urgency, excitement, creativity, like there used to be. The things that make you stand up or have you on the edge of your seat.

I must say, Moyes is gradually growing on me. This season is a transition year (sadly), and once he has a year to assess and add to the squad next summer, I think we will be fine.

Whilst I'm not advocating we give Moyes 27 years of critique-free patience, it's worth noting that the mentality ingrained by Ferguson came over a long period. It's important to remember that Moyes is only 13 games into his Premier League career at United, and he'll need time to institute his own style, philosophy and so forth. The club are having to deal with an unprecedented transition, so the shonky form is totally understandable. We've not been helped by a few shit decisions either, mind.

Everyone needs to calm down really. He's a good manager, he proved that at Everton and he's here for years, it's time to support him. It's a tight enough race behind the one team truly capable of throwing a big lead away. It ain't over by any means. We may not win the league (shock and horror) but we might end up having a decent enough season. People are insanely impatient and many moan about things that have characterized this team for years now, as though they've only surfaced as a result of Moyes' poor management, negative attitude, etc.

This is madness. Except introducing Januzaj and the very good performances in Europe, I don't think that he has done that good. Especially in the league we have been very poor. He has looked totally lost everytime he has spoken his mouth in those interviews. His tactics and subs in many games (especially in the beginning) have been a bit stupid.

Anyway, the results against shitter teams meant that today's match was a must win (if we are aiming for the title). Yet we didn't show any hunger to win the game. We let Spurs control it and we had like 2 or three shoots in the goal. The other problem is that our form against good teams have been extremely bad. Loses against City and Liverpool, draws against Chelsea and Spurs and a win against Arsenal. Only 5 points from possible 15. As someone have mentioned here before, Moyes seems to be more interested on not drawing than in winning, which was a worry to me from the moment he became our manager. The only thing that I can't understand is how our defense is not working, I thought that we'll be a bit shit in attack and go for draws in a lot of games, but I expected us to become better in defense.

January is notoriously a bad time to try and add top players to your squad though, you are usually made to overpay and most top teams don't want to lose their best players when still challenging for the league/cups. Next summer will be the key for him, refreshing the squad with new faces and some departures.

Today's result in isolation is a decent result - The points we dropped against Cardiff, West Brom & Southampton are the factors that make today's result look like a loss. At the end of the season its best to make a judgement. But currently he needs to stop being so tentative - that's something he can do now.

I think the 6 years contract provided him with too much of a safety net. Instead of using that as a way to make important changes he has simply decided to do nothing of note.

Well given that every time Fellaini plays his price tag is constantly mentioned, it seems you are in the minority. Personally price tags are irrelevant to me too, but it still makes it more difficult to get deals done.
