Would have preferred someone else instead of Cleverley, but very happy with the line up. The front four is the best we could have asked for.

If we play a 4-4-2 we will most likely lose/draw this one as well. Jones and Cleverley aren't going to dominate a midfield three without RVP's help. However if RVP plays the role of a true number 10 and midfield 3 then we will most likely win this.
Everything is in the players' hands now, this front four just has to produce some bloody goals.
That is our best back 5. Our best 2 wingers. Jones would be in the midfield of our strongest XI and RVP up front. Apart from Carrick and Rooney this is our strongest possible side.

hopefully this is the start of another good run from van persie. we missed him badly over the last few weeks. hernandez has to take his chance now. we all know he is going to be on the bench once again when rooney returns but he has not been doing himself any favour at all with his performances whenever he starts a game lately.
valencia has been so bad that i would not mind anybody start on the right wing instead of him. hopefully we'll see nani and adnan changing wings throughout the match and both can perform well today.

Lots of players with huge opportunities to impress or bounce back from recent disappointing displays, especially Cleverley, Nani and Hernandez. Nani better step up today, no more defensive bullshit with Valencia and Welbeck, want to see him given a proper run.

RVP won't last the full 90 you wouldn't think, so that team doesn't want to be chasing the game much long after the hour mark.
