Manchester United vs. Newcastle United

Hope we spend in the transfer window and commit to a regular starting eleven. There are quite a few players we need to ditch whilst the nucleus of the team is strong.

If we every single game until the end of the season, the maximum points would be 87. At best out of the remaining 22 games we win 16 draw 3 and lose 3. That gives us 72 points. That is boarder line champions league. It's safe to say that I'm worried.
We have close to zero chance of Champions League in my eyes, I can see us losing a lot more than 3 games. :(

Very worrying. Never seen the team in this state for some time now. The most pressing matter is did the players give up at the end? Has moyes lost them?

Any reason why he picked RVP? Isn't it because it was Rooneys fault for getting booked in the first place, and not Moyes's.

Why play unfit players?

He could have brought him on later.

Moyes is clueless and desperate.

That's sickening. Truly awful. Thanks for making it ten times worse

Can we send the manager to a feeder's club?

I don't think that the team is full of deadwood at all. Rooney, Vidic, van Persie are world-class players; De Gea, Jones, Januzaj are excellent young players; Rafael, Nani, Carrick are great, too. Plus, we have a large number of solid Premiership performers to fill up the team. This squad may not be good enough to win the Premiership (although even that is debatable, IMO), but it is certainly good enough for a top 4 finish.

If the manager can't get this squad to play well, then maybe the manager is not cut out for the job.

We are not this bad - we are not mid table players. its all the managers fault.

Just get rid of him.

That was the most depressing 90+ mins of football I have seen in a long time, rushing RVP back and he was just a spare part, nothing in midfield nothing in attack, Newcastle keeper robbed a pay packet today because he had nothing to do all match. Everton won at Old Trafford for the first time since 1992. West Brom won at Old Trafford for the first time since 1978.Newcastle win at Old Trafford for the first time since 1972. Says it all really , teams are not scared to come to OT any more, some will even see it has an easy win. I knew it would be hard after SAF left but FFS this is worse than I ever thought it would be

We don't have any depth in midfield and quite a few of our players are on a massive downward spiral. It isn't the same team at all

But that's not the players quality Smores. For the entire squad to have this huge dip in form speaks volumes. We can't keep pointing at the midfield and saying that's the problem, it's not helping for sure. But look around at the players and you'll see that's something is up.

I'm staggered tbh, I really thought we'd bounce back after Everton. I think this is a really worrying sign.

i doubt we will be investing knowing how shit the new managment is

Can't put it better :(

fecking change the system. We are getting overun in the middle why is he still only putting 2 in there?!

We weren't overrun in the middle against Everton to be fair and it still didn't change feck.

We weren't overrun in the midfield against Spuds and it still ended just 2-2.

Not sure what I'm trying to point out but I'm worried that 'the middle' is not the problem we can keep banging on about

Because he brought on Hernandez and he left out Welbeck because he hasn't been productive enough. Now, for me, if it hadn't been for Rooney's yellow card, he would have played today and yes, RVP would have been brought on perhaps later in the match if at all. For me, Rooneys fault for forcing Moyes to choose an injured RVP.

Glad I didn't pay money to watch this shower of shit. Poor match going supporters.
Yeah, they were. Really poor. Showed next to feck all support and left early, when the chips were down. Typical only sing when we're winning crowd. Was glad to see some real supporters stand up an berate the leaving horde, whist still cheering on their team.

He picks it and sets it up to play a certain way. Our football is shite no matter who plays. We have no style, no substance, our tactics are absolute wank. Whose fault is that?

You can see the reaction from Evans and Vidic today. Anytime they had the ball, they had the hands out in a "wtf" meaning, no one looking for the ball. Either players arent driven to do it, or Moyes isnt doing it. Eitherway it does fall back on Moyes. But the players need to shoulder the blame. Someone usually steps up and looks for the fall, no matter which team they play for. The movement and flatness of our play at times is surreal, the players look depressed half the time and not really arsed/organised.

Even if a manager sets you up one way, if it aint working players still try put in a shift and make something else work. No drive or leadership there on the pitch at all.

To those who don't want to put responsibility on David Moyes: Would you have switch squads with Newcastle, Southampton, Everton or WBA?
Would you even have switched squads with Liverpool, Arsenal or Spurs at the start of the season?

He has better players than the results he's getting out of them, at this moment.

the problem started with the decision to replace a well respected, well connected, experienced David Gill with a complete amateur in Woodward.

But Moyes is doing shit with the players he has, we should be nowhere near this poor. Either the players do not respect Moyes or he is total crap at getting his plan accross. Somebody needs to light a fire at OT, and there does not seem to be one person in the organization with the ability to do that.

Started the game well, counter attacking strong, handling the pressure well, but the inability to create enough chances or to take the ones we had, then of course paying dearly for one of our own mistakes. This is just becoming too much of a regular happening this season.

the problem now is that we are showing no signs of being able to get in the top 4, let alone the top 6, so where does that leave us in January and the summer in terms of transfers? the scouting dept needs to get to work and find some good young players that we can bring in, becuase the top shelf just might be either out of reach or out of the ability of Woodward to make the deal.

The reality is nobody can be happy with how this season is going and the margin for error in terms of turning it around is now pretty much zero. We can't keep performing this way, we can't have misfires in the transfer window.

I had often said some tough times were coming when SAF left, I think most people felt that, but that does not mean I just shrug and accept them.

I would not fire Moyes, that would be silly, but if he does not start getting more out of this team then you do have to question if he deserves a 2nd season. I don't want us to become one of those new manager every season clubs, but that doesn't mean if a manager is not cutting it that we do not consider cutting him loose.

Hernandez seemed as bad as Welbeck today, not taking his chances, poor touches, giving the ball away. Sigh.

At the end seeing Moyes just shaking his head, you wonder is it frustration or does he just not understand?

Yes I am pissed off and frustrated, but good lord why shouldn't we all be.

This is very disappointing indeed. I have never really bought into the notion of a manager losing the dressing room but this season I believe we have already genuinely witnessed one in Di Canio and now possible our very own. I don't know how much training with the ball our players do or even tactical drills but we certainly could do with some.

At the moment everyone just seems to be going through the motions save for Rooney, Jones, and Adnan. One can take a couple of players being off the boil but when at least twice as many do so then a serious inquiry is needed.

fecking hate Pardew can't wait till he is sacked little twat of a man

These are the gloryhunters that we have been speaking of and I guess they will be getting home to vent their spleen on the caf tonight.

Bullshit. This poor side won the league that year easily and have dominated the league for many years. They are not a poor side, they are a Top 4 side easily. This exaggeration is absurd.

top 4 side? No right now we are a 9th place side, the table does not lie, the way we are playing we are a 9th place side. Now do we have players capable of being better? yes of course, but they need to pull their heads out of their ass and be better.
