Welbeck needs to learn that when he's the main and only striker, he needs to stay up in the box and be the leading man, not looking to drop off constantly to link up.

This game will be tough in the second half though. Wind on their side. Actually wouldn't be surprised if it gets called off.

Apart from Young was providing a presence in the box, leaving Evra isolated on the left so Welbeck was giving him an outlet. All he was guilty of was being a bit slow to get in the box after Evra beat his man.

We can't do it on a wednesday night away to stoke in a hailstorm.

We won the games where there were power cuts and the game was paused

This is a good sign

Clattenberg can't handle a wed and windy night in Stoke then...

I came into this thread to say; he looked like one of the wimpy kids who don't like PE at school let alone in that fowl weather!

I know welbeck always likes to provide an outlet, but when he's the main striker, and only striker, he needs to be the one making runs in the box. What is young going to do in the box, other then maybe fall over? It's just welbecks lack of a proper strikers, goalscorers instinct, and movement.

Anderson's local...

The Stoke players desperately wanted to carry on because anti-football conditions suit them fine

Call it off so we can play this when Rooney is fit. We were looking pretty dire out there.

I'd emigrate if I wasn't so lazy.

I can see Rawk kicking off seeing as Clattenburg ran towards the United dugout shouting 'Hail'.

Sphaero just sent me the best stream I have ever used, German efficiency

To be fair its really windy, I just saw Clattenburg's wig fly past my window.
