The comparison/mention of 1992-93 United and current Liverpool is pointless. First off, it's a far different era when clubs might have had 16-20 first team players (thin squads) versus today where clubs have massive squads exceeding 20 players, although Liverpool are thin compared to other current squads. Secondly, there exists a huge gap in overall quality between 92-93 United and current Liverpool. Who is Liverpool's Irwin? Parker? Bruce? Pallister? Ince? Giggs? Sharpe? Kanchelskis? Hughes? Schmeichel? That reads like a Who's Who of Premiership greats. The only player from the current Liverpool that would get in that side is Suarez, who may well be their catalyst ala Cantona. Finally, Rodgers will never be half the manager Sir Alex was.
