Apparently there will now be no women at the match due to the lack of Phil Jones. Flood warnings have ceased in Hull.

Fletcher

Would be nice to see Fabio get some minutes, and great that Carrick is nearing a return to action.

Our bench is looking great today.

- super to see Fletch
- even better to see Carrick back

Be another bonus to have Fabio get some game time. Our midfield is either gonna dominate or be slapped today. Should be interesting. Rooney will be exhausted at the end.

Seriously, Valencia? He's bombproof. And any need in dropping Januzaj?
It's called squad rotation.

Yes, exactly this. I've heard some people talk about adman getting burnout, but he won't do the way moyes is managing him. He might be good enough to start every match, but he's not going to because we don't want a sterling or Wilshere To happen to him.

Not too confident about today. Hull's defensive record at home is incredible - whatever happens I expect it will be tight and low scoring, and we've not been great at eaking out goals against solid defenses. I've got visions of 0-0 or 1-1 with 10 minutes to go, and us bricking it and conceding a stupid winner.

Really rate Rooney and Welbeck together, hopefully they can link up well today. Great to see Fletcher start.

The wings worry me. Not good enough, although I understand Moyes' thought process behind it. Hopefully Rafa and Pat do some good work to compensate for it.

I love the defence. For me, it's my first choice for while Vidic remains inconsistent with his fitness. Buzzed to see Fletch back in the side, too. The bench is also excellent. Hopefully we make light work of this.

Know what you're saying but reckon since Moyes sees him everyday in he will have a better idea of where he is.

Yep I agree, Ole/moyes myhero but I don't think a coach can truly know until he sees how a player copes with the challenging of performing at this level combined with match day adrenaline. Again I hope I'm wrong but I have an uneasy feeling.

Well the problem is, who else can we put there? Fletcher slowly starts to come back then Carrick, Felliani and Jones get injured. We can't win!

Totally agree, I just disagree with the sentiment that this is definitely good news.

Stop whining over who starts and who misses out. Everyone's going to get a chance over these next three games. Young's in today, which means Januzaj/Kagawa plays the next one.

Great that he's recovered but IMHO, Fletcher starting is anothet huge step backwards. I pity who ever has to partner him in midfield.

Amazing how people talk at the start of the season about using the squad in this busy Christmas period and as soon as it happens, they throw their toys out of the pram.
