Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur

We need to win foremost to improve our bad home record and to improve our record against top half teams.

I see this as a real important test for us to get into the top four. Any news on the subs bench? The first eleven was to be expected with the amount of games played.

Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Buttner, Fletcher, Young, Kagawa, Hernandez.

Have a bad feeling about this.

You can tell it really pains McManaman to say anything positive about United.

Yes, I would also have gone with Young. Perhaps he wants Januzai to the left and Valencia is the more rested player. I am 100% Young will come on in the second half and get a goal.

Young has been rested after playing the Hull and Norwich games. Valencia's been picked due to him being the fresher of the two IMO. I know Valencia has been Fergie and Moyes's preferred first choice anyway but I think Moyes would have persisted with Young if the games had not been so thick and fast. He's been providing goals and assists which is something our wingers have not been consistently doing for a while.

Hopefully a convincing win, the team needs to make OT a tough place to come to and hope for even a draw. Too many teams come with so much confidence these days, it has to change. Will having one rest day more than Spurs matter ?

We shouldn't worry too much about Lennon, he's clearly been rushed back from injury for this one.

Let's hope Valencia continues to play with his recent good form - which is actually average at best, but compared to his previous shitness is very good

I'm more worried about Dembele bossing the midfield like he always does against us. Capoue is incredibly slow so I'm not too worried about him. Basically Dembele and how Walker/Lennon combine against Evra/Januzaj.

hoping for a fantastic atmosphere and a great start from the lads.....a start like the one at Villa would be perfect

I can see a big win for Utd today, good mobility up front and solidity at the back

Bit pathetic from Sherwood saying he wish Rooney was still injured. Of course he hopes for that, but to say it on TV is out of order.

Sherwood is like a competition winner in charge of a club. He won't last.
