Sounds like the Spanish gossip show that said he's been hyper as hell for the last week was right.

Ronaldo would have won at least 2 more Ballon d'Ors if Messi wasn't around. On the way to rival Cruyff for best European forward ever.

It's well deserved imo simply because Messi didn't have the best second half of 2013, for his standards actually a pretty bad half season, while Ronnie was consistently playing on a very high level last season and this.

Ribery while being a great player just seems to be a bit below the two when it comes to individual skill but he is still a great player and deserved his European player of the year award for being the most influential player in last season best team.

Henry Winter voted Ribery 1st, Messi 2nd and Ronaldo 3rd. Always thought he was the best journo but he's clearly just as clueless as the rest.

They clearly don't like each other at all. Shame, some mutual respect would be great. But then again the sheer competitiveness between the two has fueled the form we have seen over the last few years.

The players involved in the race and their team mates always vote tactically. I'm a bit surprised the Argentinian manager gave Ronaldo a vote. Portugal's Conte made sure Messi got nothing.

Half season? Messi started this season scoring 14 goals in 12 games (he was even ahead of Ronaldo). He just got injured in the last two months, and Ronaldo picked it up in the last two months, and that made all the difference.. Before October Ronaldo wasn't even in the discussion, it was between Messi and Ribery.

But to be honest seeing how much it meant to him, I'm glad he got it.

Ribery finishing third is a bit of a surprise. The fifa team of the year was a fecking joke :lol: Alves at LB, Ramos in there, Iniesta and Xavi who were just average last season.
 
It was pretty close.

Cristiano Ronaldo: 27,99% Lionel Messi: 24,72% Franck Ribéry: 23,36%.
