Co-Sign.I think a guy as good as him deserved to be on more than "just" one Ballon d'Or.

Do you think Ronaldo would swap this for another league or cup win if he had the choice?
Yeah he was smiling like Charlie from charlie and the chocolate factory.Did they show Messis reaction when Ronaldo was announced? They normally do the other way the past few years Messi has won it.
The German media guy voted Ribery, Lahm, Ibra while Lahm voted Ribery, Ronaldo Messi. The exact opposite, biased media, fair nationalteam captain. Pretty sure it evens itself out somehow or not, but I doubt you could say one party is less biased than the other.

Ashley Williams: Gareth Bale, Xavi, Cristiano Ronaldo

Ribéry refusing to give any interviews this evening. Not amused apparently!![]()
any link to the list of voters???'Just seem some of the names that got voted for. Astounding. Gareth Bale has a lot to live up to.
anyone has a link to the list of the players voting?
Anybodys FB newsfeed filled with scousers moaning about the lack of votes for Suarez? looks like RVP got more
looks like champions league football makes the difference
Is he surprised? It's an individual award and he's just not in the same category as the other two. Some of these players have some egos.
It's only recently that it's become purely individual with no importance for titles won with a club (which seems pretty retarded to me), so yeah it probably hasn't completely sunk in yet.
I think it's the first time in the history of the Ballon d'Or that the winner did not win a single thing with his club, no?
I don't think it really matters why he didn't win it. He's always been crazy emotional, Ronaldo could have won the domestic double and his reaction would still be the same, imo. He hoped he would win it, even if it was unlikely, now he's disappointed and wants to be left alone. That's all, imo.I do agree that it is strange to have a team sport award an individual award that doesn't take team titles into consideration, which is probably why Ribéry feels a bit hard done by... Sure Jesus, we could have a trophyless Suárez win it next year...

Hoeness will definitely give some interviews and talk about a mean conspiration against Ribery and Bayern though, you can count on that.

He is surprised, he kept making a lot of interviews in recent weeks and months saying he truly believed he deserved to win it and that he was really confident. He set himself up for a massive disappointment.
How did Ribery even get intothe mixer with Ronaldo and Messi.
Let alone being disappointed!
He was the best player in one the best club seasons in European history. How could he not be disappointed?
Something that crossed my mind is that it must be ages since a Real Madrid player won a Ballon D'Or for playing for Real Madrid. Figo and Ronaldo I's wins were just after they moved (I think) so they were really for the previous club year. Or am I forgetting something?
Because it's an individual award? He must have had some inkling that his individual performances weren't to the level of Ronaldo, who single handily qualified his country for the world cup.
He was individually brilliant. Anyone who seriously thinks he wasn't have just decided to judge him off a couple of CL games in which he put the team first (and did it far better than Ronaldo or Messi have ever done).
Fat Ronaldo in 2002, and that was won on the back of a great performance in the world cup for Brazil.
That's what I meant about him and Figo. I might be wrong, but I think the voting used to be in August and so they'd be voting for his Inter/Brazil performances. I know Madrid nipped in quick before reward day, but still, I don't think it counts as one of theirs.![]()
The only surprise there was that somehow they forgot to put Pique on the list.Ribery finishing third is a bit of a surprise. The fifa team of the year was a fecking jokeAlves at LB, Ramos in there, Iniesta and Xavi who were just average last season.
The media would have crowned Ribery by all accounts. All the lists do is reinforce the belief that few footballers and managers watch much football outside of their own.
