Manchester United vs. Cardiff City

Mata - Lacking in familiarity with new team mates.
Rooney and RVP - Likely to be ring rusty
Januzaj - Possibly suffering the strain of too much football, whether the effects be physical or mental.
Valencia - Longstanding radar malfunction.

Dare Moyes risk such a potentially disjointed attack?

His alternative is to go with the disjointed attack that has been stinking up the pitch lately for us. Might as well go with the disjointed attack with the highest potential.

Anything but a win, in the glow of Mata euphoria, seems impossible.

I'd like to see:

De Gea
Rafael Smalling Jones Evra
Carrick Fletcher
Januzaj Mata Kagawa
Rooney

But I'm expecting more like:

De Gea
Rafael Smalling Evans Evra
Carrick Jones
Valencia Rooney Mata
Welbeck

Carricks out for around a month, might be an idea to change that in the lineup's game too ;)

I hope he plays today but only because I don't want to see him involved at all against the thugs on weekend.
I agree! Tonight will be a great time for him play alongside our new boy.Valencia can deal with that lot on Saturday! I am expecting a win and a few goals tonight, hoping for a few goals! All in all very excited.Great to see Robin and Rooney back in training for the final push! I am expecting a very srtong bench tonight and I am looking forward to seeing Fellaini back and injury free!

Got to say it I love these designed by Manchester United match day posters they've been doing this year.

The probable Cardiff lineup:

Marshall; Theophile--Caulker--Turner--McNaughton; Medel--Eikrem--Mutch; Noone--Campbell--Daehli

Can't say our central midfielders we'll play in this match will be much better than there's in my opinion. They've got a good midfield on paper.

Knowing this season, we'll probably find a way to lose this. Jasus, I hope not.

So I just realised Ole's return to OT and Mata's debut arent on the telly.

Aye. Merseyside derby is on BT. Understandable I guess. Is it not even on Setanta for you guys?

I'm thinking of going to the pub to watch it on one of those foreign stations. We went in for the Everton game earlier in the season and the signal got scrambled with 25 mins to go, so I'm in two minds whether to chance it.

Not on any UK channels I am afraid lads, I have a sat dish that hits Europe and will be watching on C+ Espana so if you have any access to IPTV or a boozer that has a sat set up, I have posted up a full channel list that is showing it, otherwise it's the usual streaming or the good old wireless.

I can't believe Sky aren't showing this. It's not like they have a fecking excuse. You'd expect they would have liked to challenge BT's viewers tonight on the derby.

emm. You do know how TV contracts work? Why do you think Sky don't schedule games against BTs Saturday games?

BT have rights for today and tomorrow.

I rarely seen two live premier leagues on at the same time apart from the final day obviously.

Just sounds like unfair, monopolising the market bullshit. Sky used to get that thrown at them. Why we can't have two games across two channels is just stupid.

I hope Solskjaer does a great job with his Cardiff so I'd like to a great game from both sides that we edge.

Once upon a time United games might be televised a few times a year, if you were lucky.

Now people go mental if they are not televised.

Wayne and Robin return?
David Moyes has been given another boost as Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Marouane Fellaini all took part in training today (Monday) ahead of Tuesday's Barclays Premier League match with Cardiff City at Old Trafford.

The United manager also said new signing Juan Mata trained with the squad for the first time on Monday and he will decide on the Spaniard's inclusion on the day of the game.

Moyes is hopeful that Rooney and van Persie could play some part in the game against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side. "It's a big night for Manchester United supporters," the boss told reporters. "Robin and Wayne have both trained today. We are hoping at some time to get them available for the game.

"We will make a decision on Juan Mata, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is returning to Old Trafford as a manager of the opposition. He will get a great reception - and deserves it."

Rooney has suffered from an adductor muscle injury in his groin and has been out of action since the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on 1 January.

Van Persie (thigh) has been absent since the 1-0 Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk on 10 December, and Fellaini, sidelined initially with a back injury and then by wrist surgery, last played six days before that in the 1-0 loss to his former club Everton.

The return of key high-profile squad members, added to the arrival of Mata, puts an optimistic outlook on the coming weeks and months as Moyes' men look to climb up the league table.

Time for payback

I don't like any of these statements, the Rooney/RvP stuff I can accept, but not Mata, fecking play him, he must be raring to go!
